FWIW. Form 4 isn't necessarily "new" items. It's a tax paid transfer when at least one of the two parties does not have a SOT. You can buy used NFA items from a non SO, in state, on a Form 4. If you sold your NFA item across state lines, you would do a tax paid transfer, on a Form 4, to a SOT in the buyers state.

Just got this email this morning. Woo Hoo, a little over five months. The last one I got ten years ago took seven and a half.

Form ID: ATF Form 4 - Application for Tax Paid Transfer and Registration of Firearm
This is to advise you that the status of your eForms submission has changed to APPROVED

I don't know how, but my suppressor stamp came through this morning. SBR form 4 took 15 days, and the suppressor took 21.

If you go by the "certified" date it's even less. SBR certified on 2/9 and suppressor certified on 2/13.

Wow.. Completed back in October. Still nothing.
Don't give up hope, I submitted mine in September and just got approved last week. It looks like for some bizarre reason the dividing line seems to be the first of this year, if you filed before that it takes the typical several months, if you filed after January 1st they fly through in less than a month. I gave up trying to figure out how the government works years ago.
