Who was your engineer?

From the way I understand it, FL wants all kinds of stuff in my plans, and honestly I was going to figure some of that out as I built....we're wanting the Arch Cabin, so it's all custom.

Escambia county Building Dept sent me this today in regards to what I need.
The bottum section (Starting at Site Plan, Truss Layout, etc.) Is a little confusing to me. Im good with construction, but permits and regulations are all new to me.

Arched Cabins LLC told me yesterday that they have engineers here in FL they work with so that's my next step...to contact and go over what I need for plans.
In the meantime, I'm getting good use out of the tractor.

I agree both properties look nice. I recently completed dirtwork for a range on the 10 acres we own outside Chiefland. Waiting for the Bahai to come in.

Cliff for gun range backstop
Creek runs through after storms. Dries when no rain.

I looking into either a 40x60 pole barn single story or a 30x40 2 story Arch Cabin from Texas.

Finally got some work done today. Field cut, 5 trees pushed over, creek cleaned out.
I'm impressed with the 25 HP.

Yep, bad hot up here too. Now that the insulation is in, putting black synthetic felt on the walls the air flow has dropped to 0. Big fans help.

Nice! That looks similar to what I'll be doing eventually. Mine is more of a stream though.

Got most of the trees down for the homesite. Have about 5 left and 3 big ones...26-32" diameter.

Well, the saw started leaking oil, oretty badly, so i had to swap it with a new one. Hopefully, the new timberwolf wont have any issues. Went to Illinios to look at an arch cabin that were probly gonna build instead of the barndo for economical reasons.
Was really nice. The owner was a longtime hunter. Had about 12 trophies in the cabin alone and more at his home. HE did 2 or 3 trips to Alaska, 6 trips to Africa, and countless trips in the US. He has a Bear in the Cabelas in St. Louis, MO so of course we went to go see it. It was a 10ft browny.

Nice, yeah thats a Quonset hut. I looked at those but you need them on a slab. Im building mine on Concrete piers every 8 feet...24x46x18 high.

This red one looks awesome. What do you think? Can put containers up on stilts too. Maybe cheaper too. And they provide immediate shelter and storage while you dry-in the rest of it
