Comparing the .300 BLK and .308 Win is apples to oranges, two totally different cartridges with different roles. The main appeal of the .300 BLK is the ability to have a .30 caliber punch similar to a 7.62x39 out of a standard AR15 platform by changing nothing but the barrel. The other selling...
I understand that he isn't allowing me to own it per say, but the end result is that if I need the signature and he won't sign, the ATF won't "allow" me to have the suppressor.
I recently made my first suppressor purchase and have the long wait ahead of me for the tax stamp to arrive. I made the purchase through my Trust so that my wife can legally be in possession of the suppressor and because I have heard that the Baldwin County sheriff will not sign off on a...
Yes, $50 and you can shoot when you want (unless the range is occupied by a police dept or other group) and you can shoot rifles or pistols, but the distance is 25 yards max. There is a 50 yard line now, but it's for LEO qualification only. Check out the website for more info http://foplodge43.org
I have a CMMG upper on my .300 BLK build and have had no malfunctions using super or subsonic ammo and it is very accurate. I have only shot it unsuppressed, but I'm working on getting a suppressor. I have used rock river uppers on my 5.56 builds.
Wow, those hogs are tough! I want to get into hog hunting, I'm just not sure where the best places are to do that around here. I would probably use my SCAR 17s for hogs, I figure a round or two of .308 should do the trick!
What were you trying to "stop" that didn't stop after being shot by the 300 BLK? To the OP, I really enjoy my 300 BLK AR. As a bonus, it's quite cheap to reload for using surplus .308 bullets. It has run 100% reliably and is very accurate.
I ran into this thread searching for information about the upgrades to the range. I've also heard the forum randomly mentioned a couple of times in conversations with local firearms enthusiasts.
Thanks, I shoot at the range pretty often. I usually try to make it out there on Sundays. It will be nice if we have the option to shoot from 50 yards, we'll just have to be considerate of those who want to shoot pistols closer up.
Thanks for the update! When you mention that there are new target stands, are they moveable stands or affixed to the berm like the current stands? I'm hoping there will be moveable stands as this would solve the frequent problem of shooters wanting to shoot from different distances.
