In my case it's, wear mask or don't fly. They have "0" tolerance for shenanigans on aircraft btw.
And the airlines can go out of business. They'll wonder why, too. People think they're too big to fail, but the entire industry is less than what, 60 years old? We don't need the airlines. Just like magazines, books, the Postal Service and the dodo bird... be flexible, adapt, compromise or go out of business. There's no business we can't handle by email, internet or phone nowadays anyways. It's called a strike. Take the airlines down to their knees financially in less than a week, and then they'll compromise on the wearing of useless surgical masks and bandannas. The truth behind the lie was exposed in the fact that they didn't mandate N95 masks only, nor train the entire population how to use the individually fitted N95 masks. Anything less than N95 and you're just fooling yourself if you think you're protected

I heard if you sit there with a water bottle or cup of water like you are drinking the Wehrmacht will let you breath freely.
That's true. I've heard the same thing. Go into the flight dehydrated and sip thru the whole flight

And Amtrak too. Hasn't turned a profit in decades. Feds keep it going as a contingency plan in case of conflict. Same thing with the BIW destroyer shipyard vs the Austal destroyer shipyard. BIW is an inefficient museum of a shipyard, but it's up a river and way far inland and operational when Austal in Mobile gets itself blown to smithereens. I helped build an Amtrak layover station in Brunswick, and BIW was like half of our business, too. I learned a few things about transportation infrastructure that I wish I could forget. It and the airlines included is all a house of cards

I think you are right. For some reason I recall airline's being bailed out by our government in the recent past along with banks. I may be wrong but I recall that happening.

Bud: ‘You can’t come in here!’

    Lou: ‘Why not?’

    Bud: ‘Well because you’re unvaccinated.’

    Lou: ‘But I’m not sick.’

    Bud: ‘It doesn’t matter.’

Lou: ‘Well, why does that guy get to go in?’

    Bud: ‘Because he’s vaccinated.’

    Lou: ‘But he’s sick!’

Bud: ‘It’s alright. Everyone in here is vaccinated.’

Lou: ‘Wait a minute. Are you saying everyone in there is vaccinated?’

    Bud: ‘Yes.’

Lou: ‘So then why can’t I go in there if everyone is vaccinated?’

Bud: ‘Because you’ll make them sick.’

Lou: ‘How will I make them sick if I’m NOT sick and they’re vaccinated.’

    Bud: ‘Because you’re unvaccinated.’

    Lou: ‘But they’re vaccinated.’

Bud: ‘But they can still get sick.’

Lou: ‘So what the heck does the vaccine do?’

    Bud: ‘It vaccinates.’

Lou: ‘So vaccinated people can’t spread covid?’

Bud: ‘Oh no. They can spread covid just as easily as an unvaccinated person.’

Lou: ‘I don’t even know what I’m saying anymore. Look. I’m not sick.

    Bud: ‘Ok.’

Lou: ‘And the guy you let in IS sick.’

    Bud: ‘That’s right.’

Lou: ‘And everybody in there can still get sick even though they’re vaccinated.’

    Bud: ‘Certainly.’

Lou: ‘So why can’t I go in again?’

    Bud: ‘Because you’re unvaccinated.’

Lou: ‘I’m not asking who’s vaccinated or not!’

Bud: ‘I’m just telling you how it is.’

Lou: ‘Nevermind. I’ll just put on my mask.’

    Bud: ‘That’s fine.’

Lou: ‘Now I can go in?’

    Bud: ‘Absolutely not.’

Lou: ‘But I have a mask!’

    Bud: ‘Doesn’t matter.’

Lou: ‘I was able to come in here yesterday with a mask.’

    Bud: ‘I know.’

Lou: So why can’t I come in here today with a mask? ….If you say ‘because I’m unvaccinated’ again, I’ll break your arm.’

    Bud: ‘Take it easy buddy.’

Lou: ‘So the mask is no good anymore.’

    Bud: ‘No, it’s still good.’

Lou: ‘But I can’t come in?’

    Bud: ‘Correct.’

    Lou: ‘Why not?’

    Bud: ‘Because you’re unvaccinated.’

Lou: ‘But the mask prevents the germs from getting out.’

Bud: ‘Yes, but people can still catch your germs.’

    Lou: ‘But they’re all vaccinated.’

Bud: ‘Yes, but they can still get sick.’

    Lou: ‘But I’m not sick!!’

Bud: ‘You can still get them sick.’

Lou: ‘So then masks don’t work!’

    Bud: ‘Masks work quite well.’

Lou: ‘So how in the heck can I get vaccinated people sick if I’m not sick and masks work?’

    Bud: ‘Third base.’

One if by land two if by sea…….. but I digress ….. welcome to COMMUNIST AMERICA !!!!!

There's a simple way to comply. Reduce the number of employees to 99. IOW, fire the rest of them and tell them, Joe Biden told you to do it.

Years ago we were doing some work on Miami International Custom facilities at MIA. This was back in the day when federal guidelines had employee quotas on Federal construction sites. Some government bigshot was there telling everyone how many minorities they needed to have in their employ. He picked out one contractor and asked him how many blacks they had on their payroll. The guy replied that he had no idea. So the bigshot says then call your office and find out. The guy gets on the phone and calls his office and asks the girl how many employees do they have and many of them are black.

The girl misunderstood the request and instead tells him how many blacks they have working on the Customs Facility. Mr Bigshot tells him he wants to know how may total employees they have and how may blacks are among them? So the guy rephrases his question to the girl and she revises her answer. Mr bigshot does some quick calculations and tells the man his company is to be commended because, based on the total number of employees, they have seven more blacks than the government requires. So the guy asks Mr Bigshot to please give him one of his business cards. With that he calls his office back and tells the girl that according to Mr Bigshot they have seven more black employees than the government requires. So he then tells the girl to have seven of them laid off and make sure they know they are being let go because Mr Bigshot says they are not required. Then he gives the girl Mr Bigshot's name, title and phone number and tells her to make sure those losing their jobs know who Mr Bigshot is and how to contact him so, they can personally thank him for being such an asshole.

Turns out the guy who just gave the order was the head of the company. Mr. Bigshot didn't utter another word. He simply closed his notebook and left the jobsite.

There's always more than one way to deal with an asshole.

Amtrak from Portland to Boston always seems busy
