Got my new Tripp Research Cobra magazines in today. Now just need to run some rounds through them to check function. Also ordered a higher-end holster for this firearm from Gary Brommeland. Super nice guy. Cant wait to get it in!

Made it out to Southern Tactical today to get my new carry handle all zeroed on my M&P and get my new CZ all sighted in and function checked (like a dream). Nice place. Little crowd today but what else are people gonna do? Staff was cool and range is nice.

Have you thought about giving it more HP or torque, just for fun?

Thought about it but the 18hp air cooled twin is doing good. Pulled a 5x14 trailer around for fun and it was like nothing was behind it. Only got 450 hours on the clock. Oil is clean, no smoke.
If the engine dies I'd probably go with a 23hp Kawasaki. No bogging or jumping ditches for this one. Rated carring capaticy is 1250lbs. Only runs 18mph. Max speed. Dana Spicer box on it. Independent suspension on all 6 so it rides good.

Got my rear seat fixed! :) folds out and folds down when hauling. Wood was rotted out foam and cover trashed. I have a good friend that does professional work.

Grandpas new school curriculum involves bore sighting. Later for math well calculate bullet drop, science wind drift. Tommorw mechanics and AR upper assembly dont know what to count that for as yet.

In 2007 my house was destroyed by fire. Lost firearms. Among them was a Swedish M1867/89 8x58RD military rolling block. Been kinda looking for another one on and off all these years, but it had to be in original military configuration, not sportorized. Sportorized ones are fairly easy to find. Finally last month I found one, matching numbers, not screwed with, beautiful bright bore (not lick of pitting or darkness, rifling excellent), only missing the cleaning rod (I've now found a place with some original cleaning rods and will be ordering one). Will also be ordering reloading dies and brass that I can convert to 8x58RD (RD = Rimmed Danish). A friend gave me some cast 8mm bullets to try before I locate a bullet mold. Factories haven't made 8x58RD for decades. Bore slugs .324", perfect for my .325" sizing die.

Sweden, wanting to adopt the trend of smaller caliber higher velocity, went with the Danish 8x58RD. Sweden then converted some of their M1867 50 cal rolling blocks to the M1867/89. Fairly quickly Sweden went on to develop and obtain the 6.5x55 Mauser carbines and rifles, and the rolling blocks went to home guard/reserve type units as mausers replaced them for front line troops. Ultimately with enough mausers, the rolling blocks were stored in reserve until declared surplus. In Sweden then a lot of the surplus rolling blocks were converted to "sporters" for civilian usage. The rifle arrived today, and its condition was all I'd hoped for.

Rack number 1745, Company B, 5th Infantry Regiment. Andra Livgrenadjärregementet (2nd Life Grenadier Regiment) with recruits from the province of Östergötland, Sweden.

Also found a solution to my 308 scope issue. Only 3x though. I've got a primary arms 3x flip to the side I may put on it if is the right height. That would give me 6x. May not have enough rail space. Always something.

Not posted in Hunting, as this is not Hunting.

Used suppressed 300 Blackout with subsonic ammo to help slaughter 8 trapped hogs. Actually 2 others got out. One was hit running, but blood trail was lost in a jungle-like area after about 40-50 yds. One other got out and ran in a unsafe to shoot direction. 4 of us butchered and distributed the meat. Work combined with friendly banter and kidding.

Received a lesson in leaving a small hog whole for either cooking whole or cutting into halves. Received a lesson in removing slabs of ribs from the sow. Actually looked like there'd be a bit a meat on the ribs. We had the time and the weather wasn't hot, so the teacher showed the rib removal...need a sharp hatchet and a mallet to hit the hatchet head with his method. Couldn't find my limb loppers to cut off feet, so brought a sawzall with a demo blade...it worked great at cutting off feet and heads...will use it from now on.

Scored some .308. 1100 rds. :)-gotta feed my .308. Reading online looks to be some good ammo. Tula .308 165 sp. 2 boxes of aussie surplus and some pmc. Chamber is fluted on my rifle and steel case runs through it fast as I can pull the trigger. Big fun.

Scored this on a great deal. May use it on the C308. Not sure yet. Have to see who has the better warranty atheon or PA in case the 308 knocks the guts out of it.

A little PR added to this thread. This is a promising 9 shot string considering 2200 rounds on this tube. Anyone else obsessed with shooting tiny groups?
