Would just moving it back a few notches get you where you want to be? Flipping it seems like a huge adjustment.

You got that scope waaaaay to far fwd. Just loosten the mount nuts (most likely 1/2 inch) and set the whole thing about two pic slots rearward.
Remember,as you zoom the scope up in power, you will start looseing eye relief. Check for proper eye relief on lowest AND highest power. --- SAWMAN

The "thumb rule" is,your scopes eyepiece should be "about" even with the lock ring on your buffer tube.
Looks like you moved the mount back a couple slots in the pic rail. RIGHT ?????
AND - - -> do not use that 30 shot mag,no matter how "cool" it looks. Get yourself some 5 shot and 10 shot ASC brand mags. These are the ones that I use with my 6.8. They are black coated stainless. I removed the black with alcohol. These mags are the same size so I painted a "X" on the bottom of the 10's and a "V" on the bottom of the 5's. --- SAWMAN

It's an ASC. It was all they had. I normally use 20's. I tried to swap the follower but it won't fit any other mags I have. I'll order some later. I did see some 15rd ones, I'll get those.

I can loan you a 5 or 10 shot for range time until you get yours. They are much easier when using bench and bags.
I could be wrong on this . . . but I believe that you can use 6.5Grendel mags also. (pls double check before purchase). The mags shown above with the blue follower are stamped "6.5G" on the follower. I was sent these by mistake and have been using them for the last 6 years or so.
FOR ME . . FOR RANGE . . - - -> I load one shot in a 5 or 10 (same size). I want the added break in of insert/withdraw the mag + I want my action to lock open for cooling. --- SAWMAN

    And the confusion continues

Your question about M5 (.308) Rifle Complete Lower Receiver w/ A2 Grip, No Stock - Anodized Black has been answered.

Your Question: Will this lower work with a Bear Creek upper?? Thanks.

Answer: We build our 308 M5 platform to the AR308 pattern, with a DPMS High Profile (.210) Tang rail and 1 7/16 x 16 TPI. Please note that our .308 products are machined to AR .308 specs, which is similar but not the same as DPMS Gen 1. Unfortunately, because there is no set standard, we are unable to guarantee compatibility with any other manufacturer’s products within this platform.

Finally got my AR9 finished. Pictured here with my 300BO. As you can see I love these SB PDW braces. Gonna head to Oak Ridge tomorrow and break in the AR9. The Foxtrot Mike lower is pretty awesome. The LRBO is a good setup and seems to be very rigid. I went ahead and used the Foxtrot Mike extended heavy buffer so hopefully it doesn't damage the bolt catch. I ordered an extra 33rd mag made by RWB. It didn't fit into the magwell at all. I had to take some 320 grit sandpaper to the sides and back to get it to go into the magwell. As cheap as they are, it wasn't too much of a pain in the ass so I'll probably order another one.

Never messed with HSM headstamp brass but I acquired 500 pieces along with 500 Hornady 147gr FMJ bullets. I know W-760 isn't the best powder for .308 Win but I have an 8-pound jug so I used it to load up some rounds. 49.0 grs with CCI Magnum Primer.

Aero M5 build, BA 16" SS barrel and Leupold 1.5-5 MK IV. Shot 100 yards today to see if they would work ok before loading them all... they did better than I anticipated. I know the 147-150 FMJ's are not known for accuracy. They are slow loads though, but mild shooting, a little under 2600 FPS.

    The rifle...

    The load...

Spent the afternoon at ****redacted**** shot the RPR 243, awsome. Shot the .224 Valkyrie impressive. Same poi with 75gr and 90gr bullets @200 yards. Did not shoot for groups just mod (minute of deer) was able to hit 3 inch gong just about every shot. Shooting am eagle 75gr fmj cheap stuff mostly. New scope tracked and adjusted well. On target. Wife got to try the RPR, she liked it.

Giant mags suck on lrr. Gotta get some smaller ones.

That machine should serve you and your wife well around the club.
We have found that rideing side by side is THE way to go. At the club . . . let your wife drive while you ride shotgun.
Have fun and stay safe. --- SAWMAN
