Actually . . . those Ti parts are cheaper than I thought they would be. But seems that about $300 worth of them parts will still not get you <4lbs 2 or 3ozs.
And if you start friggin' with the gas system, you just might have to change everything. Or possibly an adjustable gas block would make it work. You need to have access to a CNC cutter. Maybe JJ's end mill ??
I have a buddy that built a 16" 300BLK AR from the ground up using the lightweight stuff. It is built for subs without a can. His gun is <5lbs unloaded. He does not have adjustable gas but a speciality ported bbl. He runs 210gr Bergers only. --- SAWMAN

Cool stuff, how do you like thy the 503c? I need a red dot for the one I'm putting together now. Also, Strike Industries charging handles seem pretty good out of the box, haven't shot with yet though.

I have the 503CU, solar and battery. had it for years. its been durable and haven't changed the battery but once! its a hell of an optic for the money. i know a bunch of hard chargers that love 'em too. my serious carbine, Colt 6720 has an Aimpoint PRO on it... but for my "fun" stuff you can't beat the 503.

Finished my dillo zapper. As soon as I figure out the new board I'll post a pic
Well the picture is too large even after cropping. Have to get out my old 1 megapixel camera.

How long is the barrel? It looks like the buffer tube is longer then the barrel.

Ya know you might be right. It's a gearworks pistol tube/brace. 5 slot. It's really too long. I just extended it for the pix. I believe the barrel is 5 inches. You could shoot the eye out of a squirrel @ 50 yards. 3x dot. Lots o fun.

Got my Taurus PT 809 today that I bought from little jacks guns. Inspected, oiled and shot the hell out of it. 0 issues. Full size 9mm. Da/sa, ambi controls for every thing. Decoker. The Novac sights are awesome. Has a real hammer.
Forward and rear serrations. 30.2 oz unloaded. Easiest mag insertion, swap I've ever had on a handgun. 17rd +1 carry. 3 position safety, on,fire, decock. Ambi controls rule. ( I like to shoot left) captive recoil spring, takedown like glock WITHOUT pulling the trigger. Pic rail on front 2 spots. Thick barrel. Drop safe, 2nd strike capability. Accurate, rings steel at 25 yards without even trying. I cant for the life of me figure out why they dropped this one from the lineup? Shown with S&W and pocket rocket.
