I’ve fired them all but always have hearing protection. Was not doing a scientific comparison but handguns are generally louder than comparably chambered rifles.

What he is say is true for pistol and rifle chambered for in 9x19 luger. Not true if the pistol is 9mm and the rifle 5.56.
