Just got the survey done. Jez it's tough to find a surveyor that's not backlogged by months.*** Also got all the mineral rights! Property had a test well at some point. Figured it would be a good idea.

The friend of the previous owner has started taking the shooting houses out. Being neighborly we told em to move them off the property before we start building. This will be my plot.

Closing this coming week. What a hassle. Also my social butterfly bride met one of the neighbors, another 20ac has popped up right next to ours. fixing to have 40ac, where's my free mule?? Plot directly to the right.

2 actually. Got em both, filed with county back in 2000. Whew! And a backup with the neighbor that owns the lower left 20. Now to run 2,050 feet of water pipe, wth... cheapest $$ so far is 3,200$ just in pipe, dammit. Dreams are expensive!

Depending on the area don't forget there are usually grants open for land that may fall under the agriculture rated. Don't know the exact qualifications for it but was something I looked at it a bit ago.
