just pulled the Turkey out of the oven , got Taters and beans on the stove and made a Salad before my Lovely wife gets home and we head out to Beulahfest for a real $hit Kickin evening.
If Mrs Chief was bringing Black Pudding I would dig up some balut's I forgot I buried in the back yard.
they may have gone bad but how on earth could I tell?

Some things just don't need to be called food.

I agree , just like squab

Mrs. Chief all your food looks delicious and the presentation is superb. I think the Chief must be a very happy and lucky man!
I have a killer Chile tip that I will share.
you start off by cooking ground chuck slowly over smoke wood in the form of hamburgers and add Bulls eye Hickory smoke BBQ sauce to them and let it cook in before done. then I make my chili on the stove top with the smoked meat broken up and it taste like it was all done on an open fire.
even better the next day and does not compare to browning meat in a pan .= yuk
you see , my wife didn't marry be just on my good looks alone !!
the turkeys I only keep the breast and the rest becomes dog food to add protein to their dry food for several days
at 59 cents a pound on sale it i an inexpensive way to keep my security team happy and well fed.

It's always boggled my mind that traditionally, a woman cooks at home yet the majority of professional chefs are men.

I love the new steamer bags for veggies. Way better than the canned variety.

Tonight, wine steamed cheap swai with a thyme and dill seasoning and braised brussell sprouts and zucchini-with a bit of conecha sausage for a bit of smokiness.

Made some Chile Sat. and put 5 meals away in vacuum sealed bags in the freezer for lunch a few times this month.
I don't add any salt but do blend in some Dales which will make a burger taste very much like steak.
then smoked the meat slowly for over an hour on my little Weber grill and cook in some BBQ sauce and as you can see I got some penetration of the BBQ and the meat is dry from cooking out most of the fat.
added 2 cans of Rotel , canned tomatoes , and a sauteed onion with the washed kidney beans , two packs of Chili seasoning and simmered for an hour.
the smoked meat makes all the difference in taste.

also anyone else notice after working on cars that making chili really cleans under your fingernails well? or is it just me ;]

Looks great HisName! Guess I better thaw out the grill - us old guys who live alone don't cook nearly enough! LOL
I did fry some excellent tilapia and swaii for the family Sunday afternoon. Being a native Pensacolian, mullet and shrimp are my usual mainstays.... however, they have developed a real liking to tilapia (yuppie kids)!
I'll get 'em back on track soon and remind them of their rednekkidness!!!
