Just a cut and buff on the paint, it had a lot of surface scratches and general wear. Took the side molding off for a cleaner look.
The wheels have a polished lip

I wanna do my Pace Car, however it has 42 year old paint and it's thin in a few spots....I've been on the fence for a few years now....

Yeah I'm no paint/body guy, I will say they checked the paint depth with a digital meter before even talking about what they could do.

Don't be scared to leave it in quality hands. Like jw said they have digital meters that know the exact mil of the finish. A paint correction and ceramic service would have it looking like a new paint job, not to mention keeping it looking like they for years if it's garage kept. Look at spending 1000-1500 though.

Nice to see a few guys in here into Corvettes. Justin came out last week for lunch with a few of us in the local Corvette group and I saw his in person, as well as took mine out.

My 2002 C5 Z06 in Electron Blue Metallic. I wanted this exact car in this color since I was a senior in high school. I do my own mods and tuning, so it's been tweaked a little bit to be fun.

TSP Stainless Long Tube Headers, Borla Xpipe, Ti Exhaust Bypass, Clutch Speed Bleeder, TB Bypass, Air Filter Box opened up with a Carbon Fiber Powerduct on it, Skip Shift Delete with Anti-Venom Mod, B&M Ripper Short Shifter, all emissions and secondary systems removed. On scale at 3085lbs, full tank of gas. Took it to the Dragon last year for a little fun..

Corvette has had 50/50 weight distribution since the C6 , cab forward is the C8 designated reference. You can’t improve on 50/50 weight distribution with out all wheel drive , in my non professional opinion.
    C5 Z06 is a 50/50 car.

Almost looks like a BUICK GRAND NATIONAL,but do not see the emblem.
Rather have one of those than a Vette. ---- SAWMAN

Factory Monte Carlo SS, with a few upgrades. Pretty much a light Pro-Touring build.

That was one of the reasons buying that car and building it when I did 11 years ago. It's easy to work on.

That's right, direct replacement for the C5 coupe factory size..been a while since I've seen them.
Originally had cheesy aftermarket Z06 wheels, sold them and found factory mags for $300, wanted the polished aluminum like the sticker but couldn't resist the price.

My group has been absent because of the chicom cooties but they are planning another run in May. Usually around 20-25 Corvettes and hit all the good roads then onward to the Mothership (Corvette museum). LMK if you want to attend I'll hook up you with the group.
