I'm thinking the cold bore shot is off on this rifle. Seems like every time I shoot it, it's high and right about 3 inches from a 45 deg from poa. On the first shot? Gonna be hard to test that though.

Yeah, that is weird. But you’ve had this mounted to several different guns, and misses with all, right? I’m starting to wonder about the scope itself. How does it mount?

0-3.using vmax. Going to move the optic to the R15 (remington AR) or my ruger ranch x39. I know those both are dead on cold bore shooters.
In the coming days I may find 10 dead coons that ran off after being hit with the .223. I hope not. Based on my recent experience with the 223 I have 0 confidence in the round for hunting if 100% perfect shots aren't made. (Head or pump) But I'm a noob with the ar and 223 for hunting. Ymmv.

Switching the optic over to the R15 a proven accurate shooter. Will use the V-max 55gr and see. Will try to take my time and concentrate on head shots, center mass, front to back. Good 50 yard group with the R15 and vmax when i do my part. 4x scope. Max range so far on a crow was 167 yards.

    No 4x optic. Nikon lpvo.
But this is with the thermal. 6 shots @+50 yards after zeroing, vmax ammo. Optic/mount is fine. It's the Carbon 15 perfectly fine for zombie cannibal gas looters, precise hunting not so much. Shame cause I like the light weight.
This is my favorite AR. Lusted after one since 06 Finely scored one.
Quality matters. 18 inch Fluted. Free floated, factory single stage trigger. Can clamp in bog pod. Test tonight.
