Starting a new thread on this. This scope is better than the ATN THOR LT. Much clearer and has way more features. View modes. Zoom actually works.
Runs on 2 cr123 batteries or can use a battery pack.
    Takes pix, video.
Has 4 vision modes. White hot, black hot, fusion, and red hot. I'll show pics of them.
Zoom. 4 zoom settings, 2.5,5,10,20. 2.5x is great for looking around. 5x is usable for aiming. 10x is ok. But the 20x is too fuzzy.
Has 5 reticals. They should call it profiles. Because if you switch the retical it changes the ZERO..... After i get the zero perfect I'll see if setting the X, Y to match works. Hopefully.
Wifi, so you can watch the scope with your phone, probably wont do that or transfer pics to your phone.
PIP. Picture in picture. The pip is zoomed in and can be set in the upper scope area, Left, center, right. Don't know if that's useful or not.

Still have lots of settings and features to work thru. Red hot seems to draw your eye, but does have a false red every now and then.
Some pix. Zoom shows in upper right. 3 Deer were 100-120 yards.
Good thing is im playing with it every day, so should be a good learning experience. Use it when walking the dogs and scaning at night.

Hot spot tracking. Puts a + sign on the hottest thing in view. One pix is a string of lights one is hotter than the rest.
Dog in yard, did the dog go pee? Yep. ( no round chambered. Safety on, mag removed) last pic is dog pee.
** also cold sucks the power out of the batteries bad, bring it back in. Power comes back. Luckily most of the time it's hot.

Decomposing matter gives off heat, ie rotting pinestraw. Figured this out after watching my dogs scratch off. Kept seeing warm spots on the ground and was wondering about them.
Switched to my battery kit from my NV. Working great. Had to order a short cord with 90 deg ends. No more cr123's. Curious to see how long the battery lasts its only a short pack about 1 inch in diameter and 4 inches long.

Not sure if I should leave this on the 22 mag or put it on the AR. Sure do like the light weight. Probably the largest critter I'll ever shoot with it would be a coyote. 22 mag got enough bang? 40gr.

If I happened to see a coyote while I had a .22 mag in my hands, I might shoot it if presented with an easy, standing still head shot at a reasonable range…. Though they hardly ever stand still. I would not set out looking for them with it.

I'm curious to your battery life also. I've heard 10 hours of continuous use but you can hear about big foot also. If you wouldn't mind keeping us updated that would be cool.

Wanna up the caliber from the 22 mag but not seeing anything near as light as the CMR30 - 3.8 lbs. 32 inches long. 30rds. Closest I've seen is the 223 su16 @ 4.6 or the 223 carbon 15 @ 5.5? 16 inch barrels.
I have a lightweight build I did seems like the weight was 4.6. Ar. Looks like Frankenstein. Shoots good though.

What about that lightweight folder you have for sale?? Is that the su16?

I’m not sure I’d let a couple pounds scare me- I’d want a good solid platform for a thermal anyways.

Just throwing ideas, but what about a heavy PCC? Maybe 10mm? Could give you reason to buy that hi point you want so bad

Had the hp 10mm, this is better TNW 10mm. Just like light for scanning. May try the SU16 already have it. Like something for +100 yards.

I’m not familiar with the SU16, but if it’s a good shooter, I think that’d be my next step. Doesn’t hurt to try it, right?

Also noticed tonight when it gets cold the nuc starts resetting constantly. Luckly its only this cold for about 3 weeks. Still not shur on what weapon to swap it to. Spoiled by the CMR30. Light and short. Dillo zapped by it using the thor lt. Ts 19 is 1/3 the size.

Dug thru my stuff box and was able to assemble a 4.6 pound ar. Faxxon ultra light barrel. .9 of a pound. Slick side upper. Turned the fh ( 2oz! Wth?) upside down to maybe keep the flare away from the fov of the
    20240125_193739.jpg
    thermal.
Gonna test drive it with the thermal on and see. No shooting. Just carrying and looking and see how it is.

Took it out. Not bad. Nowhere near as light as the 22 mag. Used the broom handle then took it off. Saw 5 does in my yard running around. The real test will be accuracy. Do some varmint hunting and testing after deer season.

Build is using a CF lower I've had and shot for years. 0 issues. My build is actually 2oz lighter than the wwsd mono lower. Slickside aluminum upper is actually lighter than the CF one. ( because of the reinforcements in the cf upper)
