Looking at the midwest gen 1 mount. Anybody using one?? Also what mags? Poly? Steel? Brands?

I would just get a bunch of magpul. Wont dent, wont rust, very smooth feeding. They sell 10, 20, and 30 round "clips" at bass pro and academy for like 10-15 bucks. I use magpul for everything minus glock mags. Their glock mags kind of suck. But AR, AK, and AICS mags top teir. I use their AICS mags in my PRS rifles.

They have gen 2 and now gen 3. Gen 2 are 15 and the gen 3 are 28. ( average prices) gen 3 have steel in the feed lips and rear tab. I guess for longevity or doing push ups?
Thought about getting some fde us palm and dying them fakalite color for fun. I've even seen clear ones.

Anything or place with “Elite” in the title youre going to pay extra for it. They probably have wall to wall HK items. Never been in there.

^^^Agreed on the MagPul AK mags!^^^ I would avoid the US Palm Magazines! The US Palm grips are better than the Magpuls! The polymer Tapco's work great so do most of the steel foreign works well.

What did you go with ?
WASR 10. Changed the boring plastic out. Thank you @Gonzolee10 ! Railed cover ( yikes) and 20rd magpul. I need to zoom some pics so you can really appreciate the laminate wood. Its impressive. Gas tube cover is a little loose, just need to stick a piece of Para cord in it to take up the slack.

I'm going to get some major flak but vska .....600-900 bucks it's a fantastic entry AK I'm 1500 rounds through it with no problems. For the money it's not bad at all

I’d get a set of headspace gauges and keep an eye on it. Not saying Century can’t make a decent rifle - but their track record speaks for itself.
