On the braces thing, I think it is good for the rest of us if other people wave red flags at the ATF. They can only go after a limited number of US citizens since there are plus 300 million of us. So let someone else attract them and by the way I possess no braces. Let someone else effectively draw the short straw to win the lottery of prize.
I honestly do not know how the SCOTUS will rule. I suspect they will rule correctly, but we simply will have to wait to find out.

As long as one does not cross a state line with a brace pistol or shoot someone illegally with a brace pistol or sell it with the brace, no laws will broken until May 31, 2023. Before then while not wise, likely not illegal to use or display.

Such key board commandos that on many sites are swearing they will not cooperate will likely after getting arrested turn in their shooting buddies, relatives, and others that are close to them.
The most likely prey with those found with guns due to other actions. Like drug raids or a wife red flags her husband. Lots of the inner city drug gang types have such weapons also. Just like the drug laws, these new gun laws will likely be most employed against people of color. Many lawmakers of color are the ones most strongly pushing restrictive gunlaws that will be used to lockup the sons of people that are their constituents. That is how it was with the cocaine laws.

Very few bump stocks if any were turned in. None of ranges I use permit bump stocks so besides being illegal and burning up a lot of ammo, I have no place where I could shoot one. wolf 5.56 ammo is starting to dip a little below 40 cents on the internet and other ammo is going down, but still I could not afford to feed such a gun.
Relative to race and equal rights, this is a case where one needs to walk in another man's shoes to better understand another man's take on life. one simply only needs to look at the pigmentation of prisoners to see that there are some issues relative to crime and the legal system. Slowly things are improving, but we are not there yet and some of this is likely not just cured by passing laws and court procedures. It is what it is and there is little that I can personally do to make it better at my age.

Walk in someone else's shoes first and does not matter too much I what I think as to how things will get fixed or not. Personally I think the country is on the path to failure and I hope our standard of living still remains high for the limited years that I have left.

I read somewhere in an article that our 200+ year old democratically run Republic is the longest surviving example of a democratic government ever in the history of the world. All other forms of democracy failed before being 200 something years old

We are overdue for a fall.

Slavery at the time of the civil war was mostly done on a racial basis. The civil war outlawed slavery, but did nothing to stop the Jim Crow that followed and here we are today having this discussion. Our cities two years ago were burning over aspects of this issue.
