I'll be home today after noon, but don't worry about it...whenever.

I've heard that aged bullets are actually harder? Anything to that? Thanks.
Sorta, but I've never studied it in depth such that I could converse expertly on the subject. But, depending upon the alloy and if the bullets were quench hardened, some alloys get harder after casting, some get softer over time, and some get harder then softer over time. Over time = weeks to months. I've never noticed any effect on my cast bullet performance, so I don't worry about it.

Took my DSA FAL shooting. After while, I began having failures to fully eject, ending with 2 failures to fire (light hit on the primer). When home, I cleaned and lubed it and test fired...all is fine now.

The rest of the story: I've not been cleaning it and shooting frangible loads. Frangible loads, at least mine, run dirtier than regular ammo (less pressure leaves more residue/partially burnt powder). After 808 rounds of frangibles over many range sessions, it had enough. I'd wondered how long it would run. And, FWIW, the frangible bullets, being compressed lead dust and Bakelite plastic are softer on the bore, rather like shooting cast bullets. 808 rounds of frangibles showed no bore wear with my 7.62x51 throat wear gage.

Bought some 7.62x39 ammo from Bjj0090! Nice guy to deal with.

First shots with FN509ct . Steel cased fed fine from factory

First shots with HKVP9T meh. Didn't like steel cased, even after lube job.. Was single shot only, failure to eject, stove pipe failures. Not that impressed, maybe ill sacrifice some brass stuff next time...

    Angered the gun gods
(Dont worry ATF it's not attached)
For anybody interested, I saw another one of these older model Surefire forward grip/light combos for sale at Grey Man. I like my Surefire a lot, but I gotta tell you what, I like my Osprey brand clone of this Surefire even better. Not only is it like $700-$800 cheaper, but the Osprey has a higher powered light, a laser and is trigger activated instead of grip panel activated.

Ordered some linear comps. 4 - 5/8 and 2 - 1/2. Like them better as I'm not hiding in the dark shooting and they direct the boom and unburnt stuff away. Work great with the short barrel pistols and even better on the rifles.

Ordered rail for the 44 carbine. Installed 4x shotgun scope just to try. May get red dot later.

Thank you. I had a bad experience with surefire customer service. Love my Olight

I read the new Stribog (SP9A3) with Delayed Roller lock up is now available in the States. There was nothing wrong with the previous blow back system and that's in use by the LE/Mil with full auto select fire. I think its another step to pull market share from MP5/clones. 1/3 the cost and mags are only $25 (comes with three), bolt holds open after ls shot, non reciprocating and reversable bolt handle too.

Speaking of "Imported" guns: if there's something you want, iys probably time to jump on it. Biden could stop the flow with an EO and we all know how that "sporting purposes" line gets interpreted and abused.
