I know some people can sleep while it’s storming. My wife is snoring. I’m not one. Waves of wind and rain. Power blinked at 130 am and now fridge sounds different. Let’s hope It didn’t get zapped. Seems to be working. Just hope it’s still cooling.

I keep thinking one day I’ll build a soundproof bunker. Perhaps then I could sleep.

Phones keep alerting to storm warnings.

You’re not alone. I work nights… but not tonight. Watching hunting videos. Gonna be pissed if I lose power. Hopefully your future soundproof bunker doesn't turn into a soundproof swimming pool. lol

Scuba gear may be needed for an underground bunker.

My pond was 4/5 feet low. Hope this helps.

our lil boston terror is still sleeping but she wants nothing to do with rain or wind
Two of mine don't care about anything, one is kind of a chicken with really bad thunder but they sleep through it. But they hate getting wet and only now was I able to coax them outside to piss during a lull. Even then, sometimes they get to the edge of the porch, gauge the rain, and turn around "I can hold it longer…".

    okay now gone WTF
    You'll learn Florida soon enough.

Sometime this summer you'll be driving somewhere random in the early afternoon. The sun will be in your eye and you'll have your sunglasses on. And you will be in a 5 minute torrential downpour with your wipers going full tilt. Then you'll understand.

It's Florida. Rain comes and goes. The weather does what it wants, not always what the weather guessers say it's gonna do.

I must have slept through any wind / heavy rain that hit Pensacola north of I-10 last night.

The development pattern seemed fortunate for us, as last night the storm came in two separate parts that pretty much missed the area and then today it was pretty much just a typical rain storm; didn't even get much thunder, just lightening in the distance.

Power dropped once last night about 8pm, only for 3-5 seconds and then it was steady.

Hope everyone else fared as well. Kids get a "Florida Snow Day" today.
