For the same reason men would have a problem with us leaving any feminine products laying around, opened, new, used, etc. We don't want to see the real crap hidden under the seat. Otherwise we'd very well use it with the seat up and this is actually a topic that's come up more than it should but hey just little 'ol me throwing my two cents in here.

We settled it around my house. Wife gets the master bath and I have the spare upstairs. The downstairs guest bathroom I'm not allowed into anyway and for the more "fluid" business I have a large backyard and I know how to circumvent the motion sensor lighting after dark.

Quite a few of my friends kids do the same thing, some of their fathers let them play around with the idea until they're old enough to have the talk. Others so nicely decide to be blunt about it whether it's going straight to the point or telling their daughter if a fish decides to commit suicide it'll clean the pond by "vacuuming" up the blood.

To each their own though, poor kids.

I found these in the back of a thrift store, I asked if they were for sale and for some reason the owner did not want to part with them, as he walked away I over heard some mumbling "Nancy will be sorry when she complains again about the Fcking toilet seat.
