I was just browsing Amazon and located some steel targets. The reviews were very good on them and there was FREE shipping! I got the 6,8,and 10 inchers. Gonna build a stand fer em so I can move them here at the house so I can do -50 all the way to 200+.... I went ahead and signed up fer the Amazon Card so it took 70 bucks off.... So I got 3 steel targets and a 223 bore sighter in fer 30 bucks!!!

Due to the overwhelming response on here, I decided to post pics of the hangers fer these targets. Legs on the 8 and 10 incher are 3 ft. All the other pieces are 2 ft. I ran outta wood so I gotta finish my 6 incher but will do it 2 ft all the way around. I plan on painting the pressure treated wood w/exterior white paint to make it stand out more. The back side of the target makes it easy to staple paper or cardboard ifin you really want to see where you are hitting if you miss.... If anyone decides to order some, let me give you my info and they said they'd supply me free targets....so I'll share.....:flock:

Didn't respond earlier but did look em up on Amazon the other day. All the reviews seem like they hold up well. I've been looking for some to build to take to the range with me.

    Results are in:

Results: Wooden stands after a while are gonna be ate up w/ shrapnel, so I'll be swapping to water pipe after they are history!!! My targets weren't rated fer the 300 WM but after seeing no pitting when shooting the 35 REM (200 grain), 7-08 (140 grain), 270 (140 grain)---I figured what the heck---Ya'll watch this!!! Famous last words!!! My 300 WM (180 grain) melted right through it!!! The 270 was stacked on top of the 35 REM and only a small pitting was made with it...I reckon the melted 300 WM hole will give me a target to shoot my 17HMR at now!!! hahaha Overall I am quite pleased in the plates!!!!!

I recovered the bullet and it's not too bad a shape!

I painted the target and took my AR57 out there and 50 rounds later, nothing but lead transfer....

Nice targets Jason. You did a good job. I would think there will be a lot of ammo going down range.
