Ruger Mod. 77, Ser. #74-53880 - 26" E.R. Shaw semi-varminter barrel. Stampings indicate mfg. in'83 and barrel was installed in '84. Custom zebra wood pistol-grip cap and forearm tip. Ruger emblems from old Ruger single action handgun grips inlaid in side of stock. Decent piece of factory walnut. Inexpensive Armsport 3-9 power scope, (that shot a helluva lot of deer on Ft. Bragg, NC until I stopped hunting about '93.) Barreled action received glass bedding about 1980. Ser. number is from '73 mfg. This rifle, shooting 160 gr. Sierra Spitzer Boat Tails over a chronograph, consistently ran 3000 fps into a minute of angle. Don't know the exact number but the Shaw barrel has had less than 1000 rounds shot through it and is in great shape. The usual little nicks and dings from being hauled up trees for 20 years.
