Am I the only person that has ever gone UP on a for sale price ??
Am I the only seller that has refused to sell to a forum member ??
Am I the only person that has set a minimum post limit on a potential buyer ??
Am I the only seller that has NEVER put "trades" in ANY of their for sale adds ??
Am I the only seller has has NEVER been talked DOWN from the advertised price ??
I have refused to sale an item. On occasion I have not had trades. I have been talked down at least 10 buks several times. I have never gone up in price. Post limit?
Like anything else, whatever market you sell in, it always corrects itself. Anything will sell if it successfully makes it to the target audience and is priced correctly. Past sales and days on the market are always your best indicator. Or you can price it for whatever you think it's worth, and if it's too high bump it for years, which is fine if you don't care whether it sells or not and have nothing better to do, and there's nothing wrong with that.
I contacted a friend this morning, (I am trying to help him sell his guns), and asked him what the lowest he would take for one of his guns. His answer was one hundred dollars higher than I have the gun listed. I have sent him the link, but he obviously hasn't looked at it. I told him the gun was listed $100 lower than what he wants, and there is no interest. I guess he will keep it.
Actually . . . . I will pick what's behind door #3. The sell it never price.
The advantage of this is - - ->
1. You can tell your wife that you are trying to sell some guns.
2. You can tell yourself that you are "trying" to sell some guns.
3. You can use the gun the whole time it is for sale.
4. The gun is just another investment that you can turn into cash after your retirement. Of course,if you do sell the gun, that takes away #1 thru #3 . . . . . Sooooooooo . . . . advertise it for a really high price and you will have the joy of using it damn near forever.
Smart . . very smart. ---- SAWMAN
