I cant wait to see the pictures of the weapons that were surrendered.
I watched an older gentleman get $850 for a cart full of what he called "old pawn crap"

IDK If its all junk. Pic in #26 is probably a long gun in factory box, guy with the yellow plastic bag has a factory handgun cardboard box in it, another with black black factory handgun type case and a couple folks using aftermarket cases for transport I guess.

Hope soms Member will be kind enough to Link the Local Show and Tell News story.

The factory cardboard box was Rossi...I saw one man carrying two new Ruger long gun bags w/tags still on the bag but he had some old junk guns in them.

News just said they bought 66 guns, for the $10,000.

Glad I am not a city resident, as that is an average of $151.515151 per gun. For mostly unwanted junk a criminal would not even steal. What a waste of taxpayer money!
And I can guarantee that none of those would be used in a shooting/drive by/whatever.

Maybe they need to do this all the time so that way we can get rid of all our junk and buy new ones!

Hey Guys, I’m not proud. I sold them two Lorcins, two Titans, a Clerke, and a completely worn out old .32 Colt revolver, so thickly plated that none of the writing was visible. All were functional, but none were even close to dependable. Then I went and bought two much nicer guns on the way home. If they do this again, I’ll be there early.

I saw the news link about the buyback on FB and was amazed at the stupid comments thanking the city for making us safer, usually written by some grungy granola kid.
It’s amazing the stupidity out there and you can’t reason with them cuz they know it all.

I was glad to see no camera/reporters there. I did see one man filming on his phone...maybe a tik tok, fb or tweet thing...dunno cause I don’t use them. Also saw one man show up with a poster board offering fair market value for weapons. I was already at pay window.
Due to the wreck on Escambia bridge I barely made the 90 exit and came around the bay(hadn’t done that since Ivan).
No, they're smart enough to hide the automatic license plate reader a block or so over on the approach. And smart enough to look like a plains clothes Facebook type on a cell phone

But was it tax payer money? Possibly Bloomberg money?
