Just saw on the news that it will be this weekend. They said that you can remain anonymous and no i.d. required. I bet most of the firearms to be turned in will be stolen over the past 10 years and they are paying $100 no questions asked. If your gun was stolen, I wonder if you will get it back? The crook will get $100 per firearm. Who said crime doesn't pay! It pays $100!

That is why gun buybacks never reduce crime. If you incentivize something, it would be insane to expect less of that thing.

Darn, I’ve got an old .22 rifle I’d take $100 for but it’s missing parts so it’s not functioning.
I guess they will have people there that would know the difference?

I'm curious as to know how they will know if it's a "functioning firearm"? Are they going to shoot it!

This is just a feel good program for the local politicians to say they took actions to curb gun violence, but in actuality does nothing.

Before anyone drives much $10,000 won't buy many guns at $150 a pop and at $200 with 50 guns it's done.

I'd rather sell my old junk for less to a member than turn it in to anyone.

I can't wait to hear the stories of guns being purchased. I feel like most people will shun you off, thinking you're not legal to own a weapon, but others will probably do whatever for more cash.
