Has anyone tried the new Muzzy Trocar broadheads yet? Had some bad luck last year with my mechanical heads and thinking about trying a fixed blade but, don't want one that will wind plane really bad. Any input appreciated!

I have had amazing results with both Slicktrick broadheads and QAD Exodus. I have shot a few deer with slicktricks (all pass throughs) and have killed a deer and a hog with the QAD Exodus (both pass throughs). Both are extremely deadly and honestly for the price, toughness, and sharpness I would probably say Slicktrick is top. Plus they fly just like a field point as long as you tune your bow and spin the arrows but that is with any bow and arrows. Pictures below is of the hog with the three blade Exodus and a 8pt my dad shot with the Slicktrick Magnums.

I shoot slick tricks and have been pleased. I shoot the smaller diameter viper tricks and they kill them dead. I also shoot the grizz tricks and they do the same.

Thanks for the info guys. Probably going to go check some out here soon.

Plenty of people shoot the Muzzy brand broad heads and they've been around for a long time! The fact of the matter is that any broad head out on the market is going to give you good results if you do your part to tune your bow and practice and make a good shot. Most people that loose a deer are quick to blame it on the BH. I wonder how they can do that when they don't recover the deer to know if their shot was where they thought in the first place?

One of the does I shot last year turned as I let the arrow fly and it penatrated in the middle of her ribs and struck the opposite side shoulder and the arrow broke off inside with only about 8 inches of penatration clogging the entrance wound. The only thing i blame on the broad head is it being a mechanical and not giving me a good inital wound. It was a schwacker head and they don't cut on contact. And that deer was still alive the next day at lunch time when I finally got a dog on her and never could slow her down. But you are right a lot of people do blame the heads when things don't go right. Other one I lost was just a bad shot and no blood.
