I have sold some ammo at my cost to a couple of guys who could not get any after buying their first pistols. I know they wanted to practice - and in one case teach his wife how to shoot.

If a good friend needed ammo or components, I would hook him up at no charge. All else pay my price...if they want it.

If we should experience a "One Second After" type event, those selling ammo/components for exorbitant prices will wish they had it back. Cash will be useful for starting fires, but ammo will be priceless.
Quality booze, sugar, flour, fuel, antibiotics, drugs, skills to fix things, etc
Just how rare is ammo. There is a lot of it around.

    I just purchased a 9mm 45acp a 10mm auto a5.56 and a .38spc plus p.
Never shot before and can't find ammo anywhere! Could you help me out sir?

I don't have any 10mm but I have a 5 gal bucket of .45ACP that somebody needs to size...get what you need as soon as that bucket is done.

Lots around...in specific areas. Aside for DOD/GOV, most is owned by a small percentage of the population. If you haven't read Forstchen's "One Second After," I recommend it. Obviously fiction, but well researched and an eye-opener of how things will most likely unfold.

We all need to get flintlock muzzle loaders since you can use home made propellants and just about anything for bullets.
Here is advice for bullets from Spike Lee, the old white guy and would I like to marry Mirandy, my kind of girl even if her biscuits are not chewable. She has a nice A__ when she jumps on top of the cannon LOL.

LOL. Making blackpowder will become a valuable skill.

Heck, I'd just like to get a box or two of .380 for my barber,
who just got her first pistol two weeks ago, and doesn't
have any ammo to shoot it with.

Anyone wants to donate a box of .380 to Sadie at the
Langley Barber Shop, she'd probably hook ya up
    with a haircut ;)

    Gouge away.
    Suckers will pay it.
We’ll remember who the slimers are.
Got a trade offer consisting of ammo. At scalper values? Nope. I’m good.

It’s also good to know who actually shoots and who just hoards.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
It does put the weight of some of their often bountiful and unsurprisingly ignorant opinions in perspective though.

Do you have any opinions Dan,or just overflowing with pure unadulterated knowledge ?? --- SAWMAN

I draw facts from first hand experience and formulate some opinions.
Otherwise, I’d just be vomiting nonsense.

Back to the topic. Gouge and scalp away, if someone is willing to pay it, congratulations. Some of Bill’s stuff is actually well priced, all things considered, but I’m not currently in the market.
Good luck to all with all of your sales. May some dumbass’s unpreparedness make you rich, good looking and successful beyond your wildest dreams.

Being I've gotten used to spending $2.49 for a 12oz bottle of water I'm sure I can live with these prices.

There is a well-known company that was one of the first to significantly raise prices after Sandy Hook. Couldn't tell you how many people have sworn to never utter the name again. Here we are eight years later, their prices are skyrocketing and they're as big (or bigger) than in 2012. The majority would purchase from them again if they were suddenly the only game in town.

Their name is "Cheaper Than Dirt", and it accurately describes how the company views its customer base.

I haven't purchased a single thing from them since they showed their true colors, and I won't in the future. I don't care if they miss my business; it makes me feel better how/where I spend my money.
