Could someone please let me know what size rifle primers I need for 6.5 Creedmoor? I am hearing different sizes. Using Hornady brass. THANKS!

I heard there may be different size primer pockets. Any truth to that

    I misread.

It seems 6.5C comes in both small and large... which one is "best" is speculative at best. With that said, it's believed small primer pockets withstand higher pressures, or so I've read... really a mute point IMO when staying within reasonable pressure limits... other might disagree.

I'm just now getting into reloading. Have not loaded the first round yet. Does anyone have 100 small rifle primers they would sell me? I am reloading 6.5 Creedmoor only. Thanks very much ! JIM

What brass do you have ? and are you sure it takes srp's ?
FYI, Creedmoor is usually just referred to as CM.
Have you checked the P Cola gun shops ?
I'd say that the majority of CM shooters that use srp brass use CCI 450's

I am guessing if you’re using standard hornady and federal brass you will need large rifle primers. Been a year or so since I have reloaded CM but have only seen/ used small primers on Lapua brass ( who make large and small rifle primer brass for 6.5 CM).
I would strongly recommend you ask around, possibly at the range, for advice or instruction from other reloaders. You can make many mistakes reloading, between loading primers, damaged brass and powder loads that may be detrimental to health, also easy to over crimp and destroy rifle brass which can be expensive.

I misread also, large or small primer brass, really not much different from my experience with Lapua brass, I had two rifles, RPR and Howa both shot great with the right loads also Lapua projectiles.

In my experiences SRPs aren't used in commercial type hunting rounds if that is where your brass came from, most if not all of those that I have run across are LRP.
all I can tell you is you will have to look at the bottom of the case to see. SRP pockets are .174 and large are .210
