Chambering Issue

Since it's a bolt gun it probably has a strong two or more lug lock up. I think I would try fire forming. However, my disclaimer is I accept no responsibility if you do.

if the fired cases (not in your gun) only partially goes into the chamber, the bottom of the case may be too blown out for your rifle. Since it has an aftermarket barrel this could be likely. You will need to run those fired cases in a S/B die before they will go into your chamber. A standard F/L die may not make it small enough to go in your rifle. Once fired they will be fine in your gun. If they are going all the way in the chamber and it is hard to close the bolt, it is a shoulder issue. Either you made the case longer sizing it by not having the die screwed down far enough or just don't have it down far enough for your gun. The Hornady comparator will help you determine that.

Sharpie test revealed scraping on angle and body meeting the shoulder.

Thanks, I'll give it a go with another piece of brass. I do have a #1 Redding shell holder which will bring the die down a bit more and seems there is no such S/B dies made for this as are made for other calibers such as RCBS.

what is the base to datum line distance in brass fired in your gun?
