The caliber wars (which is better 9mm or 45ACP, etc.) are long-standing and with varied opinions, myths, and internet misinformation. Such discussions (arguments) on gun forums can be expected to continue as long as we have forums to participate.

Here is a somewhat technical medical video of a presentation by an Anesthesiologist from a Trauma Center to a group of pre-hospital care practicioners (EMS personnel). In answer to the age-old question, which is better -- 9mm or 45 ACP? The answer is.... a rifle or shotgun!

Handguns -- of all calibers -- are inherently weak, and 6 out of 7 people shot with handguns actually survive to live another day.

The video has great information, excellent illustations (WARNING - some graphic for the squimish) -- and clearly shows that your handgun should be used to fight your way to your rifle or shotgun whenever possible!

    Enjoy!

Very interesting video. I feel like pistol calibers are inadequate now, so I need to find a good carry holster for a Draco pistol, and a Draco.
