Budget AR-15

Im thinking about building my first AR. Im pretty broke and Im wondering if this is a good deal..

It is a DPMS DCM 16" Target Crowned Bull Barrel Post-Ban Low Profile Complete Upper for $399. I will probably go with a PSA complete lower.

That's not a bad deal. Keep in mind that it does not have any sort of muzzle device, in case you want one.

You can build a basic AR-15 for around $520 now without much searching. I would keep a sharp lookout at PSA. They offer different deals every day and some of them are exceptional.

Im in no hurry.. I always wait for a good deal. I don't really know anything about ARs so I will be getting a lot of info from here.

I would spend a little extra on something with a chrome chamber/bore. Shame you missed the palmetto deal. Same money got you an M4 style upper. It'll come around again I bet. Nothing is moving at the moment. Low prices will be here for several months

You can forget JSE, out of stock on everything, not sure they are even building as have been out for months.

I'd jump on the PSA complete lower. That's as good as a price you can get without going to polymer lowers.
Then wait for one of their upper deals. Most of their uppers don't include the BCG and CH so can look for those too.

I think I might build my own lower. I found this one for $79 and a PSA LPK for $60. Where is a good, cheap place to ship the receiver to??

DSA is good to go. Not the best quality, but within spec. On a budget, DSA aint doin' nothin wrong.

If you can hold onto your cash long enough you can build a complete rifle from PSA for just over $500 if you wait on their lower and upper deals. Get on their mailing list and check your email around noon every day to see their new deals.

Just ordered a stripped lower and 10 pmags.. Only $169, If I sell the mags for $12.30 like PSA does the lower only cost me $46.99. Not to bad.

Love it when PSA bundles stuff. I bought a MOE - LPK with 10 Pmags for $149 (or was it $179). Either way it's like getting a bunch of free stuff. Yeah, I may sell some of the mags in the future.

Im waiting on that exact package to go back on sale now.. It was only $139 a couple of weeks ago.
