    May I ask....what makes them AP ?? --- SAWMAN

The fins are just for rifling but the center which is pretty big is stainless steel that also has a steel rod that goes the whole length of the red plastic. I'm gonna go blast a piece of 1/4" mild steel when I get home and see what happens. They claim they can stop most vehicles with one shot. Don't know if I beleive that but I will test on the plate. They only have about a 1/4" of plastic on the shell, the rest is the brass for the charge. They look more like elephant bullets then shotshells. I will update after testing.

See how there is only 1/4" of red you can see? The steel rods end is visible coming out the bottom of the wad.. Says 1860 fps, thats one fast moving slug. I wish I could measure the energy at say 100 yards.

Nice! I'd like to have about a hundred rounds of those.

They are only $6.95 a box of 5. Thats pretty damn cheap if you compare them to other Armor Piercing shell. I saw many at $15-$17 per 3 round box with the same specs. You really don't want to know where tho, lol.

I seriously doubt it would have any more armor piecing that a standard 308 FMJ because of the diameter .
weight and Velocity is easy to calculate and at 100 yards that thing will have lost a lot. I do believe it would deliver devastating energy just like any other shotgun slug and I sure would not want to be shot by any shotgun.
that is why I am so nice to my wife , well gotta go and cook supper now !

Can you say ..."meplate" ?? Show me any projectile that actually works to penetrate armor that is not sharply pointed. .....FAIL !

"Cool factor"... probably. A real thumper ... maybe. BUT ---> You want something that will actually thump....Dixie Slugs(or Tri-Ball) Old Town Hammock,Fla. --- SAWMAN
