Im looking for a 16 inch bolt action upper.

Figured Id ask here and see if any of y'all have any experiment with any specific brands or builds. The goal would be to be able to swap between my 223 and 300 blackout.

Ideal use would be deer hunting. Range between 50 to 145ish yards.

Are you referring to a side charging handle upper or actual "bolt\lock" action upper?
Actual Bolt/lock. I have a side charger (not in 300 and while its cool, Id prefer to keep everything in the same manual of arms)

The 300 upper will be for hunting so Im trying to have something I can get a very constant and accurate shot from. :)

For that money you could have a legit 300blk rifle

Yes! So I should keep checking GB. Got it. lol

    Do you like the action?
Took a touch to get use to it. Tried it without removing the buffer and spring...nope, would push bolt forward about an inch if I let go of the bolt, so I removed the buffer and spring (much better for me). The last nnnth of the bolt throw when closing the bolt to lock it closed takes a little more force than some bolt guns (it has 3 big locking lugs), but I quickly got used to it. Perhaps it'll be easier when it's been shot a while. Really flings the empties out. Tried 3 mags and all fed and locked the bolt back when empty.

The point of impact difference between my subsonic frangible and regular power ammo is great; a good 8" at 35yd. About 2" difference in impact point at 35yd with and without a suppressor.

If a 10.5” barrel is fine for your needs, how about a bolt-action pistol that is about the same size as the 16” upper?

Guess I’ve been living under a rock…never heard of this. Had my name on wait lists for the Remington version, but that pistol never came to pass in 300 Blackout.
