Submitted a Form 1 on 5/17/23, I'm convinced they will wait until 5/18/24 to reject my application so they can say my submitted picture was taken more than a year ago.

'Please resubmit with a picture taken within the last 12 months.'

    Bah...

Despicable and shame on them. This has little to do with gun control. It has everything to do with gun safety for supporters of the 2A. So gun control advocates don't want us to be safe. They want us unsafe.

My understanding as the same happened to me, is that you do not have to resubmit the picture. It is attached to the original application. Any new purchase you would have to update the photo.

My brother got 3 cans from silencer shop and all 3 were approved in 6 months. He got them last month. Not defending the ATF with that statement. Just shows how screwed up and backwards their system is. Its literally a crap shoot on who gets approved and when.

Contact your congressman/senator and have them poke the ATF on your behalf, as well as write a nice lengthy opinion piece on the pitfalls of the ATF as a whole and the injustices they continue to impose on us citizens.
This a right delayed is a Right denied. There's no reason why these shouldn't be a NICS check that takes less than 24hrs.

If your Username is any indicator we may share the same last name, I've been waiting 11 months for a Form 1.

Called the ATF and discovered my application is "Delayed" sitting at the FBI NICS review. Just applied for the NICS UPIN, hopefully that helps speed things up in the future...

20 months and 3 days and finally a miracle. Picked it up today.
Wow, I'm "only" at 81 days now, I guess it could always be worse. My longest one ten years ago was only (compared to yours) eight months.

I can confirm that the UPIN (at least for me) does expedite Form approvals. Two back in less than 45 days! Up until I had one it was taking 9 months plus!

It took 2 months to get the UPIN...
