2023-2024 Deer harvest pictures

Figured I may as well start a post for this year's deer harvest. Everyone feel free to use. My son got this 9 point this afternoon at 30 yards with the crossbow. The deer ran about 50 yards.

Thanks! I’m really proud of her. She wanted to take her time and make a super clean, humane shot. The round was a 73 gr ftx Hornady critical defense.

Both of my sons also killed their first deer today. As a father, that’s about as good as it gets!!

Opening day tomorrow!! (Gun) test sat my plot. Saw small 6 come in at dark.

Fyi rule change one deer must have 4 points on one side. The other 2 can be any bucks. 3 total for season. Does as many as you can clean. I think. Ymmv

Exciting day, snake in bride's shooting house, not found till dusk! She promptly exited stage left. I tossed it out. About 5 feet long.

Yeah, or corn snake. Non venomous. Whew. She had her 38 with ratshot on her hip. (2 rds) Suprisingly she did not shoot the floor out.
