I can assure that no one wants your lights to stay on more than the local lineman. Glad you weren't out for too long.

I know one of the linemen and don’t envy them one bit.
I went to see what knocked the line down last night. A big oak fell across the road and took out the line. Looked like a lot of chainsaw work to just get to the line and get the bucket trucks in position to get started on the repair

    Who's a happy camper?

I'm not sure what website/podcast is your source, and I'm also not familiar with a recent CDC announcement about COVID camps, but the TN EO#83 from a few days ago is not that ominous.

It basically relaxes all kinds of medical regulations (a debate in and of itself) in the name of making things easier: licensing tests, personnel allowed to do testing, etc. The National Guard portion is about augmenting testing and driving ambulances, or non-ambulance vehicles with ambulance crews. There is a blurb about authorization to build quarantine facilities, but nothing about forced labor, etc.
There is a blurb about phone assessments, but those are aimed at mental health cases and seems like it's allowing them to do a phone consult as a last resort.
No mention of kidnapping, arrests, etc.

Your source seems like it's taking some truths and blowing them out of proportion.

Sure hope it is blown out of proportion. At the same time, aim to "err on the side of caution" and "go big or go home" because Tennessee ain't that far away

    Always a market for them.

I love how it can go places people including my wife says no it won’t make it. I put a winch on it and tried to stick it but when I put it in low range it just crawled up and out. I did stick it once thanks to the Reese hitch hitting. Put new springs and tires on and solved the problem. Factory leaf springs were worn out the 2” lift that was supposed to happen with the new springs turned out to be closer to 8” I just can’t take the rough ride anymore
