$0.50 per round for plinking rounds is not a good deal if you ask me.
How different is the federal from M193 specifications. I assume it is Fed American Eagle. It is seems to be war ammo.

Pricing from the federal website shows he got better than what federal says it should be more or less. That is 70 cents a round.

At some point Academy will have to raise their prices. I was in AA Tactical in Crestview a few days ago (good store, just guns and stuff, no clothes) and their CCI .22LR was $19.99 a hundred. That's .20 cpr. My little fire breathing beast that I call it that I bought back in January for $700 is now $1200. Those will only go up. Biden will ban the import of those within his first week in office. Six months from now these may be the "good ole days." Check out AA Tactical in Crestview, cool store. Lots of good stuff. They even have two .50 caliber Barretts on display and for sale at Only $11,999.00 each.

About 25 years ago I was in a gunshop in Annapolis, MD and fellow had to two M60's for $9,000 each but said he would let them go 8k each. Prices have certainly changed. Today I not know if 30K would be enough for one of those M60's. Some people sailing yachts in Caribbean were mounting such on their boats.

The modern pirates of that region will kill the people on a small boat, toss the bodies over board and take the boat. If it is a sailboat it might be just for parts to sell. Venezuelan navy coastal patrol boats been stopping vessels and basically robbing the boaters.

    BBC
A Venezuelan navy coastal patrol boat sank in the Caribbean after allegedly ramming a cruise ship that it had ordered to change direction.
The owners of the Portuguese-flagged RCGS Resolute said the naval vessel Naiguata also fired shots in an "act of aggression in international waters”.
The collision left the cruise ship, which has a reinforced hull for sailing in icy waters, with only minor damage.
Venezuela accused the Resolute of an act of "aggression and piracy".
It also said it "did not rule out" that the cruise ship "was transporting mercenaries to attack military bases in Venezuela".
President Nicolás Maduro has previously accused the United States and other countries of plotting to overthrow him.

I picked up a new G20 less than a month ago myself. Definitely a bad time to pick up a new caliber. I have everything I need now to reload for it. I've just got to buckle down and get started.

There is/was a new guy on here selling 150 round boxes of 9mm for $100.00. You can buy the same thing at Academy for $35.99. I'm about to change my stance and attitude concerning "Gouging." That Is Gouging. You know it when you see it.

    So I'm a bit confused?
I've got these Battle Packs of Welchkern 7,62 MM x 51, DM 111. LOS DaG93L0410 that I purchased a few years ago. If I offered them @ $180 a pack for a minimum of 20 packs (4000 rounds) and you pay the shipping would I be a price gouger?

I would sell them for a mid point from what I paid and market, that is far from gouging

Care to state what your current selling price point would be!
Above or below $180 per pack with a min of 20 packs and the buyer pays shipping?

There is no gouging. They don't have to buy. You don't have to sell.

Why would you sell something at a price you aren't happy with?

Why would you buy at a price you aren't happy with?

If your price is too high, nobody is going to buy it. If you REALLY don't want to take any less than your asking price, just be prepared to sit on the item.

There will be a meet in the middle, or their won't.

308 has been expensive now for some time. What you are asking at 90 cents a round would in normal times be above market price. Now maybe it is a good price. I think you are in the ball park of being fair. By gouging you might get more.

More than a year ago steel case russian 308 was 35 cents a round plus shipping. The German surplus was more. Maybe 50 cents I think a round.
Below is an order I put in.
    I ordered september 2019
    10 x 50 round box - 9mm +P+ Federal 115 grain Hollow Point Ammo 9BPLE - $179.50 ($17.95 each)
    SKU: 9bple
    1 x 500 Round Case - 308 Win 150 grain FMJ Ammo - Tulammo made in Russia - $173.75
    SKU: TA-308win-case

Because maybe he is trying to be a decent man and that is why he is asking around. Most of us here do not financially have or want to sell our souls to make a few bucks. And we are mostly selling to our neighbors and members of this group.
The term "eye of a needle" is used as a metaphor for a very narrow opening. It occurs several times throughout the Talmud. The New Testament quotes Jesus as saying that "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God".

IF I were to ever sell ammo, it would not be at the price I bought it at, which I would not know anyway unless the price was on it...I do not run spreadsheets

it would be at "reasonable" market price, and I would need to replace it..

if I collected ammo of a caliber I do not own a gun to shoot it, I would either give it away, or trade.

but if I choose to buy ammo off the forum, I would not bitch and whine about the costs..

remember, before you "stick" it to anyone, make sure you do not ever need that person in the future
