Get a lower from little jacks, get a upper from BCA and done..without a loan from the bank. BCA HAS LIFETIME NO BS WARRANTY. I GOT 4,5? Of em. Real example- I traded for a sidecharger upper from a member, chatgjng handle bolt was missing, email to BCA = new handle in the mailbox. Love em.

Loaded up 100 .38's for the next day the stars align and I have a day off, halfway decent weather, and the range is open. First time using Magnus bullets. 158gr LSWC over 3.5gr of Bullseye. Hopefully, it's a decent shooting round out of my new range toy.
I will say this, 15 of the 115 bullets I went through out of the 500 count box had zero lube in the lube groove while the other 100 had a pretty consistent and uniform ring with no breaks or shallow points, all flush with the outer edge of the bullet itself.

I have the exact opposite, .22 works better than the shogun, lol.
Yep me too I cant hit anything running with a shotgun but you hand me a rifle and son of a gun better watch out! I grew up hunting squirrels with a Daisy 880. I had to hit the things 10 times on the run while chasing 'em down, just to knock 'em out of the tree

Finally went to the range with my new Blackhawk. That damned thing is definitely more accurate than I am. Even running a handful of very hot .38 reloads through it, it felt like shooting a .22lr, the normal 3.5 gr of bullseye under a 158gr lswc... Well I've got a daisy pellet gun with more recoil and not nearly as good a trigger. If I can ever get used to the loading gate and lining the cylinder just right to eject spent casings, it'll be perfect. Definitely my new favorite plinking gun, and there's no way I'll be going through as many rounds with it as I do with any of my autoloaders. Even at 50 yards, I had a group that I could cover with my open hand, and I'm sure that as I shoot it more that will get even better.
I'm definitely happy with the acquisition. Now I want to try a 4" version and compare it to my 6.5" model.

The other size is 4 5/8's. Shoots great.
Ever shoot hogs with it? Thinking about taking mine to the camp in Camden/Minter and eradicating some that have encroached on the deer plots tearing everything up. Never saw a hog there until last year, now they're all over the damned place

Did my quarterly inspection and wipe down of all 40 weapons. Due to certain repairs being done and still needing done, the humidity is higher than normal in the house. Also due to me over oiling them to keep them from rusting, any guns not in the closet, seem to collect every hair our Husky and Malamute shed.

So after a few months the guns start to look like Chia Pets from the dust and fur collecting in the oil. Guess it's better to have fuzzy guns than rusty guns!

I'll be glad once repairs are done, and I have a dedicated gun room again...

Just picked up my first optics mounted pistol. It's no Gucci Glock, but I've always been interested in sighted pistols but not enough to spend the money before trying it. $330 new at Mike's.

Got this offer from "American Tactical Sports" via a Guns America email a few weeks back and even though I don't usually bite on offers like this and I didn't need another range bag, I figured what the heck. Even if it wasn't good quality, for the cost of S&H ($14.90) I could find a use for it.

    Black Bag.jpg

It arrived today. I guess theoretically, saying that it's "...perfect for concealing multiple firearms, ammunition and tons of storage for the rest of your gear and clothing" is actually true if it were only for my mouseguns and GI Joe doll's gear and clothing. Otherwise I suppose it could serve as a tactical manpurse. Lesson learned.

Shown with my CZ75 PCR for size comparison.

Stopped by my favorite little shop on the way home. Sadly they got hit pretty hard by Sally. I did pick up some heavily discounted .357 Magnum fiochi 142gr fmjtc rounds for $14/box of 50 and some 175gr federal gold medal match .308 for $20/ box. Ammo is fine but the boxes definitely got a little wet. And she got in a few boxes of CCI 400s and set one aside for me today since I'm a regular and stop in 2-3 times a week looking for small primers. Didn't have the heart to tell her I needed small pistol so I grabbed them figuring I could at least trade them here or get back what I spent with ease. (The primers she got a partial case of and sold them all today, they never saw Sally). Styx River shooting center is a great place and the owners are just as nice as can be.

Cindy needs all the sales she can get right now. Insurance didn't help her one bit. Definitely a good place to get shotgun shells right now, she's got laundry baskets full of loose shells for cheap because the boxes got ruined. I don't shoot there, but she's one of the few people who aren't gouging the hell out of ammo prices when she gets it in. She occasionally gets in 9mm range ammo and it's 12-15$/box instead of 29.99 like my closest shop is. Granted, my closest place actually HAS ammo unlike most places because they're paying premium prices to get it.

Styx River shooting center at the Wilcox exit (#53) in Alabama. About a 35 minute drive from Pace. If you need large rifle or large Magnum rifle primers, she's got plenty. No small primers of any flavor. Lots of powder and other stuff as well. Only open Wednesday-Sunday until 5pm
