Eliminate the mask out of the story. Yes, the mask is bullshit, I agree. She resisted, she got what she deserved. If I were they cop I'd have shoved that other lady down the bleachers. Assault on a police officer, obstruction of justice. I'm sure a good lawyer could dream up more charges. Sucks it had to come to that outcome.
Edit, I'm a registered republican on paper. Not sure who I am other than I am not a democrat. Will vote Trump. I just call things like I see it whether good or bad. Try to stay honest.

All in a Friday nights entertainment. Peace out. Now for a shot of Buffalo Trace, or maybe Fireball would be more appropriate. :)

I don't know all the details, but from what I've gathered she was asked to put on a mask or leave by school officials, she refused to do either, therefore she was trespassing upon school grounds, she was then asked to leave the school grounds again by law enforcement and she refused (which is an arrestable offense, at least in Florida). The officer tried to take her into custody and she resisted arrest, less than lethal force (Taser) was utilized to gain compliance and effect the arrest. This arrest and use of force is good all day, everyday.

If you goto walmart and walk around without your mask and they ask you to leave, and you refuse to leave their property, and then decided to resist arrest when the cops show up, what do you thinks going to happen?

As far as stepping in, I would have also taken the other older lady to jail for obstruction of justice and battery on a law enforcement officer for grabbing my wrist while I was trying to detain a resisting subject.

But ya'll feel free to Monday morning quarterback from your office job and/or sofa.

It seems that people here would rather take this out on the officer rather than the property owner. Of course you don't get to see the lead up to what transpired in this video. So, we can probably at best guess the lady was advised by school administrators that she was then trespassing and refused to leave. She then presented passive resistance and then actively resisted the officer. Officer did his job perfectly in my opinion. I don't agree with her getting kicked out and trespassed but that was not decided by the officer.

Threads like this make me glad I made the tough decision to quit my career in law enforcement several years ago. I've never seen a profession where the officer who is human is expected to be perfect and simultaneously wear over a dozen hats. Not to mention, personally catch all sorts of hell for the decisions of the public and the officer's leadership.

    Ohio Governor's Website said:
All individuals in Ohio must wear facial coverings in public at all times when:

    • At an indoor location that is not a residence
    • Outdoors, but unable to maintain six-foot social distance from people who are not household members
    • Waiting for, riding, driving, or operating public transportation, such as a taxi, a car service, or a private car used for ride-sharing.

Straight from the Ohio .gov, the bold bullet point is the key here. This woman was breaking no ordnance, law, edict, or whatever the flavor of the month is for mask orders. She was outside with her family and following the (BS) social distancing guidelines. If the school did tell her to leave over the mask, they need to brush up on their state policies and prepare to open their wallet along with the Logan PD.

Ok Democrat. LOL. If the democrats have their way standing up for law and order will be a crime.

far from a democrat laughable you’d think I was a Democrat from my post. I’m a constitutionalists that knows right from wrong. All about law and order, just not unconditional fear mongering edicts from power hungry elitist.

The good thing about these situations is the exposure of all the authoritarian personality types.
We're in a war, an Information War
    I agree!
It becomes very clear and evident when people abiding in the same reality intepret events in opposite ways.
It is also bringing out all of the authoritarian types.

Self-governing and having authority over your own will is different from those willing their authority on others. And salivating over the authority figures who represent this coercive system.

So for those who support the police officer's actions, it seems a split between "she SHOULD be wearing a mask" and "she was trespassing and resisting arrest".

For the "she should be wearing a mask" crowd, that's your opinion. I doubt anyone's opinions on that issue will change anytime soon. However, there are plenty of LEGAL exemptions to not have to wear a GD mask. Many medical reasons. Some are physical; some are mentally traumatic. This police officer chose to use potentially lethal force to arrest someone for "trespassing" because they refused to comply with a "strongly-worded suggestion" due to a given medical reason. She told him she has asthma. I guess you believe he needed to see her medical records or some such BS, huh?

For the "she was trespassing and resisting arrest" folks, it seems you think that LEO are automatons who "must" enforce every law, even the unconstitutional ones. Is a school considered public property or private property? If public property, what "law" was the LEO "enforcing"? If it's private property, would that make the LEO a contract overtime employee, and again, what "law" was being "enforced"?

If you believe a mom refusing to leave her kid because she wasn't wearing a placebo mask is excuse enough to consider her trespassing, then you could make ANY asinine fairytale "rule" you want and ask everyone who doesn't comply to leave. That might be allowed on private property, but for a public school, that BS shouldn't fly.

    Unbelievable.

Ohh just so y’all know as of an hour ago,

TALLAHASSEE — Florida will no longer require bars and restaurants to operate at less than full capacity, as Gov. Ron DeSantis issued an executive order Friday removing all remaining restrictions on those businesses because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The order, which takes effect immediately, also prohibits local governments from closing businesses or collecting fines related to pandemic-related mandates, such as mask requirements

They finally looked at who is really dying....lots of gay men with HIV/AIDS.
    Oddly, lots of male hairdressers...
Hey, check the facebook pages of the dead...the info is all right there.

And the science is also really simple at this point...
if you have a health concern, such as hiv/aids/other immuno-compromised problems,
or old as heck and in lousy heath with certain diseases...wear a mask in public.
They're the only ones who need to.
The rest of the world can go back to normal and not give a dang.

Here is what I can't "get past","sticks in my craw",etc, - -> you see the riots on TV. The laws that are being broken EYERYWHERE,the actual direct assaults on police, the police actually witnessing felonies AS THEY OCCUR,and yet they pick out this one lady, with her kids,at a ball game, social distanceing,to engauge ??
Last night a curfew was violsted by 100+(?) people. How many were man handled, jerked around, tased, arrested, taken to jail ?? When I finally turned off the TV, the police were still "negotiating" with the LAW BREAKERS. HUH !!
In this one ladys case,my opinion is,the police seem to be picking "soft targets". Could the officers agressiveness been better used against people that he witnessed in the act of comitting a felony ??
    My opinion - - > YES !! --- SAWMAN

She might have been doing nothing wrong but when asked to leave you leave. At that point she was trespassing. You're in walmart. They ask you to leave. You say you've done nothing wrong, and you haven't. Pick your fight. You are now trespassing and the same incident can ensue.
It's the same as people here selling items and putting up disclaimers about who they want to deal with. It doesn't matter what you've done or what you haven't. She could have been handing out 100 dollar bills. She was asked to leave and refused, then resisted.
Besides the getting arrested, let's talk about the other lady, because what she is doing to the officer should have never taken place. Hope they charge her.

I'm with you there. Either attack everyone or boone, but riots are a projected act in this country in most places.

Everyone please remember - - -> if the LEO's are prone to take down the easiest among us,what/who will they come after next ?? The old,the young, females, overweight individuals, people that are the easiest of targets ??
OR - -> the groups or individuals that are deemed a hard(est) target ?? The groups that are commiting felonies right in front of them ?? The ones that the politicians have picked and chosen very carefully . . . most likely for the vote ??
Have we not all seen what the highest law enforcement agency in the country can,AND HAS,done to individuals. Have we not already seen just how corrupt our justice dept really is ??
What is it that will not allow all of us to think that there could be a possibility that our local law enforcement agancies are just that corrupt ??
Not saying they are. Not saying that there are not a bunch of good cops out there. BUT - -> ???

I’m gonna assume and I speak for me, but I think it’s all about lumping them all up together. I know some fine outstanding police officers, that would just as well quit the job before trampling over citizens rights. I know of two personally that have because they didn’t like the way it has already started to head. Now there are plenty like officer Brownshirt in this video that will do whatever is told of them because “they” have the power, and will follow any order from anyone that cuts them their check. I could be wrong and don’t wanna speak for sawman but that’s what I think it is.
not all cops are bad, just like not all Trump supporters are racist KKK members. You will always have a few bad apples.
