I intended to “nudge” my way into long range shooting and a fellow competitor helped me piece these components together in a way that would shoot great but wouldn’t break the bank! Lol!! It started life out as a Thompson Center Compass which was selected because of it’s super accurate 5R rifling and highly adjustable trigger and good price. Next, we bought and mounted the barrel/firing assembly in a ORYX (MDT) Precision Rife Chassis. Finally added a ACME Machine 6-24x50mm first focal plane tactical rifle scope (MOA reticle), muzzle break, and XAegis carbon fiber bipod. I never got into Long Distance shooting and don’t see myself doing so. I sighted it in (w/ Hornady 143gr ELD-X at 100 yds) and it’s dead nuts accurate with basically dime sized groups! Includes a 10 round mag and It will also come with the original black polymer rifle stock so someone would have that option as well if they wanted to go back and forth for a lightweight hunting option.
Anyway, I’m not hard up to sell or get ride of it... I’d just like to try something different and I’m open to see what possible trades or sale is out there.
