I have a beautiful Sporterized Mauser Mod98 chambered in 30-06 with a Leupold Vari-x III 3.5x10 scope and aftermarket trigger that pulls sub 2 lbs.

I believe Uncle Mike's makes that barrel band sling mount, it isn't custom.

I do not know who made the sling mount and I’m not sure about the receiver but here are four additional markings on the receiver. There’s also a stamp 939 on top of the receiver under the scope I could not get a picture of. Also, as the picture shows I forgot to mention the scope as we Weaver mounts.

1939 German Mauser. Will be another mfg marking under scope mount. Looks like the 359 & 37 was JP Sauer mfg

I could not see the “1” clearly because of the scope so it could have been in front of the 939

Yep. Those are mangled German army Dirty Birds. Well, that knocks me out of buying this. Superstitious wife wont let me have anything WW2 German
