Ummmm the model number and Czech lettering on the receiver say fully its a vz24Not a gun professional. Rifle was passed down to me, however the serial number indicates it is a1937 model 70.

Stepfather has had this rifle in his gun case as long as I can remember, at least 30 years or more. Never shot during this period. Do not see any pitting. Looks wonderful. He cleaned it regularly.Yeah the Czech's made all manner of new production replacement parts for Mausers too. It might not be a surplus receiver. Any pitting that's been reblued anywhere? Have you taken it out of the stock to look?
