OK guys I have a cool old Belgium made Browning Auto 5 20 gauge! It is ribbed with a bead site and was definitely used for hunting as shown in its wear but feels great in the hand and everything is as it should be.

Disclaimer: My original post stated I thought this gun was a 1929 but another member whom I trust his knowledgeable thought this was a 1964 simple 20.

The gold trigger denoted a light 20. As compared to the standard which had a blued trigger.

The serial number will tell you the date of manufacture and also whether it's a light or standard two digits will tell you the date of manufacture then a letter will tell you whether it is light or standard
