WTB a 12ga SXS shotgun for a project. Any length bbl because will be chopped to 18". Single trigger preferred but will consider double. Prefer wood but will consider plastic.
3" shells preferred. Does not have to be pretty. Must have modern steel. Will drive a reasonable distance for inspection.
Please PM me with phone number if you have something available. I will require pics BEFORE I drive for inspection.
Thank you for your consideration. ---- SAWMAN

Still looking for a short bbl'ed 12ga "coach gun". Exposed hammers or not. Double triggers or not.
Modern steel. 3" chamber damn near a "must". Would possibly accept a 20ga also.
ADDED - -> Come on guys. Don't "force" me to go to Mike's.---- SAWMAN

I tried to buy it from him but he demanded that I try one of his Bob's/Ray's burgers and I refused.
IIRC the gun was only $15.00 also.
I want a short bbl and take it to JJ and have him mill out some "duck bills" for me. ---- SAWMAN

Wondering - - -> for a 18" bbl . . if "duck bills" are cut into the sides of the end of the bbl, back about an inch or so,will the bbl still be ATF legal ??
I would think so. The OAL would still be 18 inches. --- SAWMAN

Just a spreader. It widens the shot pattern horizontally.
Some combat guns like the Ithaca 37 had an installed device similar to the one pictured. IIRC . . they did not screw in to the inside of the bbl like chokes do today, they were installed on the outside of the bbl with set screws, clamps, etc.
I have seen some military guns that looked like the muzzle had been squeezed in a vice to give it a elongated oval shape. The 37's duckbill worked great. They would be great on the 14" Moss and Rem.
Possibly get JJ to try this out on my Moss Shockwave. ----- SAWMAN

If a firearm has a permanently attached muzzle device, that device is included in measuring the barrel length. So they should count towards the barrel and overall length of the firearm if they are cut directly into the barrel.

That is basically what i'm thinking. Same as ports cut in the bbl or a ported Glock.
Might just take my Moss Shockwave to JJ and see what he thinks.
I would not want anything attached. I want the bbl itself cut. --- SAWMAN

Watched some vids. They build a screw in one too. Looter shooter/Party Crasher. Couldn't ya use a rifled barrel shooting buckshot? I bet it would cover a barn door, wouldn't be a horizontal pattern though.

Stopped in at Mike's this AM.
NO double bbl shotguns at all. Guess that I am at the mercy of GCGF and all it's gougers.
    BTW . . . Mike's is now a CLASS III dealer. ---- SAWMAN

As Rebel Rider said what about Scott’s, I was there yesterday and they had 3 in the rack, these were the short tactical ones.

    Thanks --- SAWMAN
