    Looking for M1A

    I'm in Pensacola

    PM me

I have been looking around for a M1A.

Price is important but the condition of the gun is more important.

Wood Stock 22" Blued or parkerized.

If you know where I can find one let me know.

Anyone going to the gun show in Milton ?

I'll look for one there also as I have seen some at the shows.

    Thanks for the help,

M-1As are parkerized, not blued. Good luck on getting one, they are by far my favorite rifle and as a plus the most beautiful rifle ever made.

    Rick,

I'm from the old school LOL!

Back at Fort Benning in December of 1965 I did some work with the M14 and somehow lucked up and got the expert badge for Christmas LOL!.

On to Ft. Polk La. (TigerLand) got to use it somemore.

Went on to do a little more shooting with it and the M16, never liked it much.

Us old guys were taught to disassemble and assemble them under any kind of conditions even blindfolded.

Today I probably wouldn't know where to start.

    I agree with your assessment.

    Thanks for your help.

The new shop in Spanish Fort had one last week. I think it was $1650? Wood, standard length. The shop is past Best Buy on the end of that strip. No idea what their number is, sorry.

Post plenty of pics when you get it Johnny. Checkmate Industries make about the best GI mag for them. They were $26 before the craze, no telling how much now.
