Yep! Got that message a couple of years ago while waiting in the ER at Baptist. I was told by someone at Baptist that all hospitals are that way now. That is bullshit. My wife was in Ocshner Hospital in NOLA last summer and I logged on to GCGF every day and also gun mfr. sites, PFF, etc. Never once was I denied access. I asked a doctor there about it and he just laughed and said we're all pro 2A here.:usa:

Then late last Fall my dad was in Baptist for a hip replacement. Just to be a smartass I logged onto GCGF on my pad through my phone hotspot and showed my dad some stuff. A nurse came in and I brought up.something on here and showed her. She mentioned that she couldn't believe the system allowed me access to it. Instead of telling her the truth about the hotspot I just said something along the lines of "Meh, liberals and anti gun weenies ain't that smart. Its an easy workaround".

Definitely not all hospitals, I have been at Sacred heart on and off for thd past few months and had absolutely no problem logging on.

Although they may block "weapons" sites on their wifi. I will gladly go there over the other hospitals. At least for the birth of our children. They treat you so much better there in the labor and delivery section than the other hospitals. CC and it's never a problem there.

only thing I can tell you about Baptist hospital is.....
they have fine emergency power systems !!!! like all other hospitals
in our gulf coast region.

The next time you have to sign a consent form with any thing connected to Baptist hospital read every thing on it, pay close to the bottom of the first page and top of the second page. And then tell them you want sign and why, and see the look on they face. Just my 5 cents jj

I don't go to the hospital often, but when I do, IT AIN'T FOR WI FI ACCESS? You have no right to Internet access in any private business.

The last few times I was in the hospital here with the wife I was just happy to have wifi. I was waiting several hours for the wife to have procedures done and it was nice to able to stream Netflix on my tablet while waiting.

I know that's right. I'm the only living relative of my grandmother and as such my wife and I take her to all of her appointments. Because She happens to have good insurance, we find ourselves frequently helping her physicians with their mortgage payments (attending mostly pointless appointments and tests for problems she does not have). It's nice to be able to use the public access wifi to save the ole battery during the lengthy wait between your appointment time and the time the dr actually appears for the appointment.
Was just surprised that this forum was in their list of harmful(or whatever) sites.

Wasn't complaining or looking behind the lips of the "gift horse". Simply sharing an experience with fellow gun enthusiasts in a respectful manner.

I mean, you wouldn't want someone ordering a firearm and have it shipped to an FFL. That has to be more dangerous than just going to buy a firearm from a store right? I'm just trying to figure out how. And then the obvious. Typically people who do bad things with firearms, steal them or get them another non-legal way.

I'm on GCGF now and I may go porn surfing later, all from the University of South Alabama Medical CTR in the beautiful Crighton neighborhood of Mobile, Alabama. Been here with Laurie since Tuesday morning and I'd go batshit crazy if it wasn't for reading what you guys have to say!

My father had 5+ hour surgery at Baptist to remove a lung. He survived due to an excellent surgeon named Dr. Ruby. Two days later he was given the wrong drug by an overworked underpaid nurse. I know because she told me and what the drug was. He had heart attacks for the next 5 weeks until he mercifully died. I was told by a woman in admin. that I should hire a local law firm for 'help'. I also had another Dr. that works for Baptist, he is a very respected ENT; that told me "Baptist is nothing but a dirty sock that they just keep spraying Right Guard on". HE'S RIGHT! If something ever happens to me and someone ships me down there via Life Flight, I hope I fall out of that damn helo before we get there. My chances of survival would be much greater.

YOU GO TO BAPTIST HOSPITAL IN PENSACOLA TO DIE!!!

My GF is an ER tech at Gulf Breeze baptist. She says a lot of random sites are blocked... cosmo magazine for example. Also netflix....

No rhyme or reason to it.

Video streaming sites like Netflix eat bandwidth up big time. I am sure that if everyone was streaming netflix their servers would simply crash and no one would have wifi. So I am sure high bandwidth sites are blocked for that reason.
