30-40 krag? looks to have been "sporterized"

Model 1898 Krag rifle. The stock has been cut down. The barrel has been shortened and some type non original front sight added. Original wood and barrel to put back into original configuration are for practical purposes impossible to obtain.

If the bore is ok, it’s whatever someone would pay for a rifle just to shoot. As a collector of original military rifles, its value is about $200-$300 for parts.
