Thought I would start a thread about recent movies or old ones that you really enjoyed, maybe watch again on occasion.

I haven't been much of a movie watcher over the last decade or so but getting back into them again now that I finally jumped on the Netflix train.

Tonight, I finally, for the first time ever, saw Reservoir Dogs. Don't know why it took so long, I'm a fan of Quentin Tarantino. Loved Pulp Fiction. This one was great too, more like a lead up to PF.

Just watched the Wolf of Wallstreet on Saturday, been wanting to see it for a while and saw it was on Netflix. Pretty cool, I've always enjoyed movies like that......all the nakedness and stuff

"I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you."

    Love that movie!

My favorite line in a movie is when Jules is in the diner explaining things to Ringo and his girlfriend. (Pulp Fiction)

"Normally by this point you two would be dead as friend f$#@ing chicken but fortunately you chose to pull this stupid shit on a day that I'm going through a transitional period".

If you haven't seen them, Ronin has the best car chase ever and Heat has a great shootout scene.

Tonight, my wife and I will be watching El Cid on DirecTV. I have seen this just a few times over the years. It rarely comes on TV anymore. I love this movie. It stars Charlton Heston and Sophia Loren. Excellent movie.

At Big Lots a few weeks ago they had Natural Born Killers on DVD for $4. Bought it since I'd never seen it and had heard it was some kind of "classic". Meh... I guess it was OK, and I do like Woody Harrelson, but...

More recently, yesterday I saw 8mm, a movie I'd seen many, many years ago with Nicolas Cage as a PI investigating a snuff film. That Beretta Tomcat one of the BGs was waving around looked might small. Maybe I noticed that this time around since I sometimes carry one.:twitch:

Dennis Hopper's final speech in True Romance was pretty awesome. Gary Oldman's character was perfect, too.
I can almost recite Snatch line for line. Favorite by far.
    Tombstone is another top choice.
    District 9
    Edge of Tomorrow
    I, Robot
    Braveheart
    I Am Legend
    Jack Reacher
The Mission Impossible series (but II was pretty shitty.)
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Total Recall (the new one.....Kate AND Jessica? F*ck yeah!)

and then there's some that we watch just for the eye candy....
    Haywire (Gina Carano....holy shit.)
    Sucker Punch
    Sin City

I'm sure there's more, but this is all I can recall off the top of my head...

Tonight I watched the new Denzel Washington movie "the equalizer" .... meh. It was subpar for DW.

    recently I've watched...

Tombstone (best movie ever, if you don't like it you can GTFO)
    Django Unchained
    Wolf of Wallstreet
    Fury (very good)
    Boondock Saints
    Full Metal Jacket
Courage Under Fire (great DW movie)

I'll watch just about anything with Tom Hanks, Leonardo Dicaprio or Denzel.... they're all badasses.

    Sent from my Galaxy S5....

Will be watching the entire Starwars saga soon.

Apocalypse now is tied with the Godfather for my favorite of all time.

    Full Metal Jacket is great.

    Tombstone.

The first three Indiana Jones movies. I saw the fourth one and I'm content to ignore it's existance.

    We Were Soldiers.

    James Bond, all of them.

    The "Bourne" movies.

Zero Dark Thirty. The characters "Maya", "Dan" and "Jessica" had jobs in the CIA that I had in the Army. Of course, I was hunting mid-level Taliban/AQ and they were hunting Bin Laden. Much bigger fish, but the methods aren't that different. The movie got a lot of stuff right and I enjoy watching it on screen.
