Well I bought and subsequently broke the new "hotness" in Tanfoglio grips which are from Patriot Defense. They are sending me another pair but if I broke the first set in 1 hour of dryfire, how much longer with the next set last?

Guess I'll just donate them to a junior shooter or something.

Just leave the grips off and stretch some grip tape over the frame.

I don't have midget hands like some people I know... :llama:

The factory wood grips are okay but need more grip & a little thinning. The Henning grips are a little thin but fit me the best overall. Running Hennings on both the match and practice gun, Match gun has the nice full checkered version and back-up has smooth with grip tape.

Interesting note, the new grips screwed up my reloads too, changed back to the Henning's and all was good. Tanfo's are horrible to reload, being of 1/2 of a millimeter can result in a hard jam up.

Finished installing an apex duty carry in my shield and m&p full size. Much much better. Perfect for a carry gun.

Loaded up my new Honda Ridgeline and made my first trip to the club's range with her. Lots of room for all the stuff I take to the range, especially when the trunk in the bed is taken into consideration. Been waiting on it since Feb 16th; picked it up this past Thursday. Got one of those carriers that plugs into the receiver hitch receptacle if we can't lift the hog into the bed, but it only holds 500 pounds. Probably not big enough for the hog that ate the troop of Girl Scouts a while back that you told me about.

Just got back from the range with my wife. She shot the 39A for the first time and about a zillion rounds of 9mm. Fortunately for me she missed me every time.

We have seen the actual tracks of that hog on the W side of the SE field and down the middle of the mid road . . . . . remember ?? They were about twice the size of a pack of Marlboro's.
Please save them mini shells for me. Thanks Bruce. --- SAWMAN

I shot the MS State Production Championship yesterday over in Biloxi. I hadn't picked up my production gun in 10 months, but I ended up shooting pretty well.

I finished 3rd B Class out of 23 and 11th out of 118 shooters overall.

Palmetto State Armory has new 50 cal ammo cans on sale. 12 for $89.99 or $7.50 each with free shipping. Just ordered a batch to store primers and powder in. Not a bad price. GA Arms had them for sale @ $15.00 each at the gun show last weekend.

Amongst other gun stuff, I've been working with the whole AIWB thing. I picked the G-code holster during one of their sales and the fit/finish is great but the overall feel and comfort leaves a little to be desired. It is kinda cool that carrying the full size 9 is just as comfortable as carrying my 9c.

It's a "gen 1" full size (4" or so barrel). I picked it up on the cheap awhile back and a local guy, Custom Tactical Concepts, did the grip work.
