Ordered some charging handles. So many different styles, types and prices, 6061 vs 7075 and my favorite quote so far - “This charging handle has a raised semi circle ridge to better contain gasses which may leak from the charging handle gap.”

I don't mind so much if the outside it dirty...but I don't know if the dishwasher will clean the bore. I used a patched jag to draw water in through the nipple hole and push the crud back out on the down stroke. Had to empty the dirty water once ;)

Just got an Army surplus M17. I am trying to keep up my military arms collection with current times. I will put it next the 1911A1 Remington Rand and SIG M49.
In the last photo. Another example of the thoughtless consideration toward collectors.
The Army choosing to use their own numbering system. Instead of the provided manufacturer serial number.

My G2 contender had a rather ugly synthetic stock and the grip rubbed my hand raw between thumb and index finger unless held just right. Hause of Arms had a close out of G2 laminated wood stocks. Not a lot of selection left, but I received this set this week. Not every one’s cup of tea, but I like it. Feels real nice when held to your shoulder and lined up perfect with my scope. That’s a 16” SSK .223 bbl on it.

While we were processing the deer we recovered parts of the broken target rounds I used to shoot them. ( hornady black 308) Lead core bits. Wound track had a definite exit and hole in the shoulder (both sides) Based on the damage and stopping power. I'll continue to use these. Photo is high shoulder, neck shot. Drt. Dead roach deer. Damage internally seemed to indicate explosive impact.
Looks like the " poly tipped target rounds" seal the deal. Granted both shots were 100 yards or less.

Yep polymer tips are forcing the cone open on impact. Good to go man that's awesome intel

Will also work good on 2 legged predators.
Hornady is awesome in general :) the polymer tips on their ELD-X 308 are supposed to be the end all be all, do everything projectile. The ELD-X has a heavier jacket that's more locked onto the lead core, for use in anti-material too, not just anti-personell. And still good for deer. So no need for carrying around two sets of data or trying to keep track of which magazine you grab. One and done. Supposedly. I wonder if it's the same polymer tip on the Hornady Black that you used on that deer that is also used on the Hornady ELD-X? I know it's a different projectile but I wonder if it's the same tip. Supposedly Hornady has the only polymer tip on the market that is proven to not deform while traveling through the air getting superheated, so they lay claim to having the most accurate polymer tip
