I bought this cylinder in an on-line estate auction thinking it must be for a Ruger Single Six.
When I saw it in person, I don’t think so.
It doesn’t have the scratched last 3 numbers of the gun’s serial number.
It also has “22 magnum” etched in the metal. I’ve never seen a single six cylinder with that.
    It just doesn’t look right.
    Anybody got any idea?
Only guns I can think of would be a Heritage Rough Rider and I believe Colt made one that had interchangeable cylinders.

Colt Frontier Scout (aluminum frame), Colt New Frontier and Peacemaker 22s came in 22LR & 22MAG.

Usually the Magnum cylinders are un-fluted however, with the LR ones fluted.

Numrich lists some aftermarket cylinders for Colts, maybe it's something like that?

But wouldn’t the mag cylinder also be 9 shot?
Gotta be a Colt or Heritage. Possibly an older Single Six?
The 22 magnum identification looks a little crude IMO. I believe you're correct in musing Heritage Rough Rider. That would be my guess.

I have a colt and would like to see if it fits. If you have no use for it I would be happy to purchase it

You are welcome to try it.
Maybe look up a cylinder for your model and see what it looks like.
