I wouldn't bet anyone on this or any other forum would stand next to you at trial as authority on fire arm designation. What you'll get is anecdotal evidence and opinion not facts. Even when ATF has it in writing I wouldn't stake anything on what they say. I never said I wasn't paranoid mostly situationaly aware.

I agree. I think the ATF uses fear and regulations (not laws) to scare gun owners into forfeiting their rights. I spoke to a 25 year retired ATF agent about the specific law two days ago. He could not list any specific law. He only said he was told what to enforce by his superiors.
